who is the most interesting anime character to you?

simple. who is the most interesting anime character in your opinion? and why?
it could be a male or a female and from any anime you could think of.
just tell us his/her name. from which anime. why. and if possible an image of the character.

There's a lot, but for now the one that came up on my head was.

Off the top of my head, I get Kisuke Urahara and Kakashi Hatake. I don't know why, though. They're both so...different.

I like a lot of anime characters, but along the lines of most interesting, I'd have to say that my favorite is Lord Death from Soul Eater. I love how he is a reaper but he is just always so cheerful! XD

Mine would be Sakata Gintoki and Nura Rikou

Haruhi, 'cause she is complex, and has more layers than normal anime characters.

Interesting? damn every anime character is interesting in their own way but if i had to choose ONE it would probably be *thinks and face goes red* Otanashi from Angel Beats or Haruhi Suzumiya from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Konata Izumi from Lucky Star >.< whats funny Haruhi and Konata are both voiced by the same actor ;P ty for this topic its "Interesting" if you get what i mean ;O

The quiet characters are the most interesting ones...usually. A few episodes they won't do shit but sit there and observe. You have no idea what they're thinking as the scenes go by. Then that one episode comes where they blow your fucking mind. Yuki Nagato is a prime example.

Death the Kid from Soul Eater. I find it funny he either gets serious or goes completely insane when symmetry is involved

Most interesting anime character to me is Shonen Bat from Paranoia Agent

Lately I've felt that way about Kawashima Ami. One of the least one-dimensional characters I've seen out of the romance/comedy genre of anime in the past several years.

That and I feel like her personality relates the most to me in anime form, especially when I was in high school. I was always the conniving one that saw through my friends "petty" problems thinking that I was so much more adult; only to find out that I was perhaps the most childish one of them all because I hid my true self from everyone else.

Also I was totally the one that had to encourage a couple of my friends to buck up, have some courage, and ask each other out despite the fact that it was difficult since I was crazy about her too. But I knew that my best friend was better for her than I ever could be. Come to think of it, I think they are still together six years later.

So anyway, Kawashima Ami. Multi-dimensional and I feel like I can relate to her character better than most.
