I don't know, hard to choose between thousands and thousands of characters. But probably something from animes like durarara or arakawa, anime that only contains interesting characters.

For a moment there I considered Light Yagami but... meh.

Interesting is kind of difficult to define, but I would say Fujiwara no Sai from Hikaru no Go. I remember being fascinated by his naive view of the world perfectly in sync with the ancient wisdom portrayed in his character. I think it is also refreshing to see a character fine his skills for the skill itself, not in order to protect others, avenge/defeat someone or because of a promise.

Yagami Light . He is Evil + Genius = Coooool

Out of all the anime I have watched so far, I would say that Lala Satalin Deviluke is the most interesting to me. A close second would be Konata Izumi.

I would've said Konata but unfortunately I had a bit of killer intent at the back of my head so I went for the bad ass instead of the most awesome anime otaku ever drawn
