really?, i gotta add that anime in my to watch list.
Its a manga. It got an anime adaptation but it only covers a small portion of the story so you may not understand everything that's going on. I highly recommend reading the manga

Ken Sugisaki from Seitokai no ichizon, unlike other protagonists he's gentle,kind, and hard working because of a pure love of his fellow student council members.He learns from mistakes, doesn't whine about ithem, and takes action after he has seen his objective and the influencing factors.All-in-all, Sugisaki has no major flaws in character, being able to balance a avid eroge/galge gamer and his love for his harem and being able to allow both sides to intertwine, there truly is no better male character than him.

Spike as well, alongside Naota from FLCL. We were all that little kid at one point. Minus the crazy robots and shit, though.
