I really liked Lelouch as well, but that might be a bit clichéd. Some of my favorite characters include Nate Rivers from death note, Tsukune from Rosario+Vampire, Dominique from Eureka Seven and Keima the God of Conquest.
Special mention for most "Gin" characters, like in bleach and R+V. You know the ones, a bit cocky, or rather, confident, with squity eyes and a penchant for hiding something.

Allen Walker from D. Gray Man. He really cares for his comrades and even loves the demons in the story. He's SUPER cool with his power Crown Clown and looks like a badass :)
