[Locked] FAKKU Subscription Questions

Well if i can make some money i will try to support Fakku again since it isn't a change only to make more money but to make a better site but for now i will only read the Forum to check news about it.

why is everything that is being posted subscription required?

Yes, IF Fakku can actually get their License/permission from these authors/publishers.
One example for now is a Kill la Kill Doujin called Threadless by Doxy, this doujin stays because fakku has the consent of the author. https://www.fakku.net/doujinshi/threadless-english

In just trying do you have a plan or something in motion to bring back the manga legally aka licensed?
Currently everything is in transition, this serious decision of FAkku is to show to other publishers Japanese/western that Fakku is serious on bringing their works legitimately to the west. So, currently there are no plans that fakku can share publicly for now.

IMHO, Fakku is not selling out, as this was Jacob's Goal from 2007.

I'm sorry if some of you feel "betrayed" but that's your own fault for taking FAKKU for granted. Fakku wasn't meant to be a site that keeps pirating, and you should have known that deep down in your head.

The Removal of the unlicensed content has been in discussion since June 2015, If you're still unaware of this and got mad at Fakku when you didn't export your favorites then the fault is entirely on yourself for messing up your priorities.

Also being a lurker doesn't mean anything as a support to Fakku, if you want to really support fakku either buy the subscriptions or at least engage in an actual discussion for future decisions, not cussing/knee jerk reacting to something you don't agree.

I am considering the digital subscription but okay I live in a country where there is a law that they consider any form of hentai as REAL CP (but it's not really enforced so it's lax) well I have paypal where my prepaid card mastercard is linked so can the bank see that I am paying for hentai digital? If so can they like sue me? but according to their bank website they don't issue monthly statements unless I enrolled my account on them.

That's rather disrespectful, I see very few people "cussing or knee jerking" in this thread, just a lot of people trying to find answers and be kept up-to-date right when something happens. Even though it was announced in the last year to move toward full subscription services, there was nothing on the front page saying "next week, we will implement subscription-only, so write down your favourites because they will be deleted". So it should be understandable why some people were surprised at the start of 2016. For someone intimate with Fakku and e-commerce, your comment is extremely rude. You expect (demand) people to buy a subscription with the contempt you write here? I've seen the moderators and supporters of the site making the rudest comments, and I disagree with the way things are being informed to the public. As a site trying to be in the public MORE, hiding something until the last second is bound to cause concerns, and your contempt isn't helping to keep people informed or up-to-date.




This post was very disrespectful and unproductive. This final update is a far bigger change than what it was at the beginning of last year and it came with sudden impact with little prep (at first the site was half subscription and half non-sub). The forums should be a place to inform and assist, not denigrate people who may or may not be up to date on what is happening. For people's favourites to be removed leaves people understandably worried or confused, etc. Some people are just here to find out all the details of what's happening, as they happen. There is no need to make Fakku such as toxic website with your rude comments, regardless of your support for the subscription service. There was NO warning on the front page saying "Tomorrow or next week, we will delete all your favourites, so write them down on a napkin" or something similar. And that would've been appreciated.

Welp... I guess I have to go rediscover a lot of my old favorites.. Good thing I expected this to happen eventually and saved over half of my favorites lol. You've been a pleasure Fakku. Maybe I'll come back when I get out of college and have a job so I can afford subscriptions lol xD

Man I really wish there was a warning posted on the frontpage before it happened, so I would have known to export my favorites. Now like 50 pages of my favorites are gone forever, and it really does hurt. I doubt I'll ever remember all of them :(

It's probably impossible but is their a way to revert the website back to the way it was (with all the content) the day prior to this change. Then everyone could export their favorites, which I think would at least lessen the blow for some people. Although like I said, that's probably impossible.

I use sankaku for over a year too and i been favoriting alot of stuff, through my browser not the website, and i can say that at least 60% of everything i have seen aleadry got removed, and they don't even let you know the name of the removed things, at least my browser tells me the names but of course im lazy to searchh...




Sad panda don't have it, i once got to find something from here to be there, raw of course, but soon later it got removed, well of course sad panda has alot more of things thats been aleadry removed here, but theres also alot that isn't there anymore.
