I do not visit fakku cafe nor this section for the matter but after op kindly tipped off at ib that he takes pleasure in posting here I became curious and after seeing how inconsiderate ryssen and waar are treating the users here I can only suggest to report/pm this matter to Jacob (or perhaps Gambler) because surely this is not how things should be done. Waar has become desensitized by ib and doesn't want to see reason. In conclusion - he should stick to ib. Thank you.

Anyone wanna bring me up to speed on whats going on? I'm behind the times.

Waar locked Cafe V3 on a short notice, giving no time to discuss who hosts V4
Ryssen went First come first served, and people complained that hes not the right person to be the new OP.
now we should "discuss" what to do for the new cafe but so far all arguments were pretty much ignored.

Ryssen and Kitty-kun bring up the topic of a new Cafe in this section, what with the current version almost reaching 10k pages or some shit. Naturally, ChaTFaGs being ChaTFaGs, they got butthurt and want their old "ruler" back.

Delicious, popcorn-not-needed-but-preferred drama ensues.

- Fakku Café v3 was locked
- Ryssen opened Fakku Café v4
- Fakku Café residents want Lui.
- Meh.

How about you guys just have a thread and say screw the op. I don't get the importance of it. Just have it as a continuance of the previous thread. It's not like waar actually knows what goes on here.

Everyone just pile on whatever thread you want. Let the other threads that people create die.

well, with the OP pic and the verall acessable information in Post 1 its pretty much a billbord of what this thread is.
Also the V4 Luin created was instalocked by waar on page 1

Anyway, Waar actions are clearly ultra vires from the precedent laid down by Jacob before the last transition. In the past, Jacob gave the users a chance to discuss the matter among themselves before the new thread was made or the old thread was locked. I think I am right in saying that the exact same thing happened when the V2 thread was made - it is important that these kind of threads are self-regulating.

Whilst the users have to adhere to the rules - we understand that - it doesn't mean that the moderators have the right to impose their own will on the users that are subject to the rules. Simply, we uphold our side of the deal by not breaking the rules, therefore the moderators should uphold their side of the deal by facilitating a friendly atmosphere for the users to converse in and have little influence in that atmosphere. If it's fine, don't mess with it.

Now, I have no personal problem with Ryssen, but I don't think his attitude is helping. Just because someone makes the thread first doesn't mean that they should be acknowledged immediately by everyone. In all actuality, no-one is going to post in the Fakku Cafe v4 until it has been fairly done, and if Ryssen doesn't show fairness in allowing the users to discuss who should make the v4 thread, then it will turn into a personal problem. So, if I were to make the v5, v6 and v7 threads, according to Waar and Ryssen, I am the owners of those threads if I choose to make them.

So, I know this is clearly trolling, so I don't know why I'm rising for them, but seeing as I don't post on the Cafe hardly myself, maybe a third party perspective into this issue might make Waar grow up and allow the users to pick someone to make the thread who they know and trust. I don't think luin should get it as of right, though - it should be passed on to someone else in my opinion, but not Ryssen - a person no-one knows. Just as nameless as Van Rompuy.

That's not completely true, being a dick is pretty funny. I'm also taking this seriously so your anger is misplaced right now. I'm giving Ryssen the same right any other poster gets and letting the debate decide who gets to make the thread.

I think that if the thread was really going to get locked because it reached a certain number of post, i think there should of been a discussion on who was gonna be the OP of the next because it doesn't look like many people are happy about this.

There is still no proper reason why the 3rd cafe got locked. Out of joy I assume.

If a Topic has to be locked due to a certain number of pages/posts being reaches its rabblish coding.

So it was locked for the sake of being locked? Isn't that abuse of power?
