Anyway, Waar actions are clearly ultra vires from the precedent laid down by Jacob before the last transition. In the past, Jacob gave the users a chance to discuss the matter among themselves before the new thread was made or the old thread was locked. I think I am right in saying that the exact same thing happened when the V2 thread was made - it is important that these kind of threads are self-regulating.

Whilst the users have to adhere to the rules - we understand that - it doesn't mean that the moderators have the right to impose their own will on the users that are subject to the rules. Simply, we uphold our side of the deal by not breaking the rules, therefore the moderators should uphold their side of the deal by facilitating a friendly atmosphere for the users to converse in and have little influence in that atmosphere. If it's fine, don't mess with it.

Now, I have no personal problem with Ryssen, but I don't think his attitude is helping. Just because someone makes the thread first doesn't mean that they should be acknowledged immediately by everyone. In all actuality, no-one is going to post in the Fakku Cafe v4 until it has been fairly done, and if Ryssen doesn't show fairness in allowing the users to discuss who should make the v4 thread, then it will turn into a personal problem. So, if I were to make the v5, v6 and v7 threads, according to Waar and Ryssen, I am the owners of those threads if I choose to make them.

So, I know this is clearly trolling, so I don't know why I'm rising for them, but seeing as I don't post on the Cafe hardly myself, maybe a third party perspective into this issue might make Waar grow up and allow the users to pick someone to make the thread who they know and trust. I don't think luin should get it as of right, though - it should be passed on to someone else in my opinion, but not Ryssen - a person no-one knows. Just as nameless as Van Rompuy.

I'd like to point out that a thread in CTFG will almost definitely be frequented by CTFGers, and based on your post in the secret santa thread, you dislike the assumed posting style that everyone here supposedly uses. The cafe is meant to not be biased in that regard.

It's important to prioritize, and studies should come first. Given that you are unable to be here due to studies, there really shouldn't be a reason why you should be so persistent about taking this responsibility from someone who is more able (in this regard).
