Being one of the judges, and posting the front page's thread in my place. Including talking to Jake for the title prize. Pretty much that.

Even the mods doesn't know why; but he's a bit angry with me. Perhaps the contests are a partial reason to it, no one can really tell.

That is quite a problem indeed since most participants join because of the front page, prizes, titles and such~

If the section was pretty bustling in activity on the first place, we probably wouldn't had this headache because we know that there's always people that would participate regardless of the circumstances

Hello fellow writers. I am a professiona writer in real life. I just want to encourage everyone to keep writing, and offer to you a friendly critic if you have something not too long that you want me to read. *puts on fancy hat and sips latte*

Although it hasn't been anything major. Mostly working with other writers or ghost writting. I have had a thing or two published, but nothing major.

Thank you, it pays the bills. Almost. Do you or anyone else aspire to be a writer? Let me rephrase that: a paid writer. Anyone who puts a something to paper that has meaning or value is a writer in my opinion - as snobish as that sounds.

Not sure yet. I still want to be a voice actor more than anything.

I don't know if that counts but I'm planning to write things for a Visual Novel or Video Games sometime in the future~

It's always been my dream since childhood to do these things

That is awesome. I haven't met a voice actor but I have been around one who was working. They are kinda silly characters.



Writing for a video game is a unique experience. I would guess it is really close to writting a screen play - you have to take into account the limitations of what can be presented on screen and whatnot. That said, I did work once for a video game company and it was a really fun experience. Mostly because, in my opinion, the universe is already established so it is like you went to a friend's house and are allowed to play with all their toys.

As for now I'm currently planning to take things further in the Visual Novel direction in the company I'm trying to establish sometime in the future. So yeah, I would like to take things toward a greater freedom rather than working for someone.

My rebellious attitude somehow told me that I'm not suitable for working under the superiority of many others that limit me from fully expressing myself. And there I thought, I might be kind of insane and such lol~

There I did sent a PM to Jacob just before, the contents were kinda unrelated, but if I could gain his approval from that, I would talk things further about the contest with him~

There's one person who says that she can help me get into VAing IRL, so yeah. After I get to US (if the plan works out), then I should be able to walk down a path. Which is better than being forced into businessman world or being forced to becoming a banker or something.

There's something which I haven't realized, I think we should celebrate on this thread reaching page 200 =D

On a side note, I'll be going to Singapore to establish a company soon, according to my plans~
