Hi Panluxuria, glad you posted something like this. I'm also a girl who likes a her hentai. And I definitely have some complaints on this topic.
My #1 for hentai is SEEING the GUY. I know porn is a man's world, but half the time the guy is invisible or all we get is a floating dick. And when there IS a guy, he's either like a 10 year old child or a ungly ass rapist. Wtf! Where the hot dudes at!
My #2: I'm also a fan of #forced and #group. When it comes to #group, I expect to see the usual mountains of tits and everything, but can't we have an option for us ladies too? I want more male harems dammit!
It would be kind of nice to have a few more female-aimed hentais.
I think the problem with this is in relation to what you said, that hentai and the porn industry is more male oriented and targeted. More and more women are enjoying porn as time goes on and it's not like we didn't enjoy it before any less, but being proactively open about liking it is still something that isn't common. It can even be frowned upon in most societies for a girl to be open about liking the lewd.
There should be more female targeted porn myself that isn't yaoi or yuri based, but it just depends on the consumer market out there and for now it's heavily based around men because that is where they will make more of a profit. They've shown women are not as likely to buy eroge such as hentai, but again there isn't as much appealing works out there for them that can be found in other mediums such as erotic novels/smut novels.
I known when they've done research and promotions for otome games (reverse male harem games where the female is the MC getting the men), they've found that there is not enough of a market to meet the demands for it. There is more out then there use to be such as the Shall We Date? series on steam and iphone, but still not enough to start brining console games over to the states. Plus nothing is eroge enough even with the R-18 rating (guys get better porn lol).
As I said, hopefully in time this attitude changes and things become more diverse. I know I already see a bit more myself then I saw 3-5 years ago.
