Talk About Yourself (aka Narcissism 101)

I need an ego boost since I've been feeling crappy lately. So I will ruminate on my good points. Thank you for the forum!

I am crafty, good at figuring things out and making it up as I go.

I've always said I don't consider myself particularly beautiful but I'm damn good at faking it. When my friends protest this statement, they don't understand that I am genuinely proud of my abilities as a hairstylist/makeupartist/wardrobestylist/image maker.

I'm proud of the way my breasts look. They're large, full and still perky. I am proud of this because when I was younger I saw my older sister naked and her large breasts were starting to sag and sort of pancake. I vowed never to let that happen to me at that age. She is 10 years older then me. I am now the same age as she was back then and I think my breasts lay perfectly. Phew. goal reached.

I am at a decent place in my portfolio where I can safely turn down work if I know the images will look like shit. And by "work" I mean unpaid test shoots. If you're paying me, you could be a kid with a disposable camera taking pictures of your dog, I will make your dog look awesome.

I am passionate about what I do. I don't do it because I think I'm the best or because I think I'm giving back or providing something unique and wonderful. I'm far too selfish for that. I do it because I love it. And I may bomb every now and then but I'll pick myself up, learn from my experiences, and strive to improve because I love the process.

I feel better already.

I am Gambler although I doubt everyone on Fakku knows who I am.

I have somewhat of an inferiority complex, particularly that of my looks. Although everyone says that looks doesn't really matter, it isn't necessarily true. When going for job interviews, potential employers may take a liking to good-looking people. The same can be said of relationships; I believe most people would want a decent-looking partner.

I am quite idealistic about lots of issues, although I know these conditions cannot be met in the imperfect world. Nonetheless, I try my best to make a difference wherever I go, hopefully for the better.

I am not sure if I am a hypocrite or not. Do I help others because I sincerely wish to do so, or do I harbour some hidden motives?

I love Lady Gaga. I love how her sense of fashion is all about questioning and/or mocking what is considered sexy or beautiful in our society. I love her avante-garde and performance art-like videos. Some of her songs are brilliant, others meh, but I like them anyway. But what I like most is how she's not your regular pop star--what she does is take elements of fame and pop and blow them up to deliciously grotesque proportions, like a carnival mirror.

I've been told I have a great body, and I must say, I agree. It comes from great genetics supplemented by years of being on varsity swim team. When I was actually training, I had abs like whoa, but I don't have those anymore. Ah well, I still think it's very nice, mind.

Being very close to what society considers the "ideal" body has saved me from a lot of neuroses.

I prefer writing poems in traditional forms rather than free verse. I'm not saying free verse is bad--I write free verse too--but there's just something about a very carefully structured poem that just rocks my socks.

You doesn't sound narcissistic at all....

No such thing as true altruism. No one can just give and give and give for no reason, and without expecting anything in return--that's just unfair. Even if the expectation is just that the person will make themselves or others feel good by helping, there's always a motive. But this is normal; it's just how life works.

OT: I have two beautiful cats who alternately drive me nuts and make me go "d'awwwww."

After reading Victor Hugo's Les Miserables, I was inspired by the character Jean Valjean to selflessly help others the best I can and expect nothing in turn.

I have long eyelashes.

I can draw well enough. (Some give me too much credit though, I think.)

I can build and dismantle various robotics.

I can predict anyone's actions, motives and thoughts upon meeting them.

I can't stand authority. When anyone orders me to do something or tries to control me in any way, I pretty much go ballistic.

Except in the bedroom. Then it's ok.

hmm ill try, i aint living in any luxury atm but im happy with what i have, ive worked my ass of to get were im going and boy am i almost there. and once i finaly get there i cant wait to see everyone faces once i get there theyve all been saying its to ambitious and im going to fail miserably but once im there ima gonna shut there mouths =D

I've been a bad dog mama to Countess Ada Lovelace lately; not taking her out for daily walks. I should, but I can't seem to muster the energy to do anything but the most basic necessities lately.

I feel my existence through the changes I go through. No changes, and emptiness quickly kicks in~
