DRD Tactical have developed a new rifle, the Paratus. It is a semi-automatic .308 loading, take-down rifle meaning it is meant for shooting a target with the intention of them staying on the floor. It comes in two models, the Paratus-16, the 16" barrel model and the Paratus SBR-12, the 12" Short Barrel Rifle model. Weapon is designed off the AR-10 design with integrated return spring in the upper receiver and charging handle positioned on the left side rather than the traditional AR charging handle on top at the rear, besides the charging handle, all controls are same as AR-10/AR-15.
It can be broken down to be fit in a special case about the size of a small briefcase and can be assembled and ready to fire in under 60 seconds.
Its quite expensive, around US$5,600 but a good rifle nonetheless. After all, this rifle was meant for casual shooters but for the military's CSR(Clandestine Break-Down Semi-Automatic Rifle) proposal. I'm sure it's met their specs and hope to see it in service soon.
