Well that is indeed a good find and quite a good price(if the thing is in adequate condition) but I don't want to have to travel across this bloody sun-baked country or pay the expenses for having it delivered to me. Besides, I've only been back at work for two weeks now, I can't take another week off.
VALERIY: Well, Kei, you just gotta get through this term of recruits and who knows, maybe they'll send you up with the intervention force at Mali.
On another note guys, I'm curious(and mainly just want to make conversation here), what kind of girls take your fancy? Personally, I've felt no attraction to the girls I've encountered(probably cause a lot of them are high schoolers like me but not mature like me) and I don't really know what it is that I'll ever feel attracted to but I imagine you guys(being older and more experienced) would have an idea for yourselves.
I think I am god damn humble in my preference: The girl must have positive attitude to languages, she can't smoke and it would be great if she'd tolerate my otaku-ness and my army/weapon interests (absolutely outstanding would be sharing it). That's kinda all.
I don't really care if she's tall, short, asian, black or white.
If I should go to visage: I like long hair.
Hmm, unlike Lance, I'm actually a person with high standards. I rather have a girl who can stand her own, one who knows how to handle a gun and able to keep my pace on the field. Simply put, my ideal partner will be put in the baptism of fire that is the battlefield before I can acknowledge her. I would say that scratches out of the list a whole lot of girls.
Also, yes, I would very much hope to be able to join with the UN's intervention force in Mali. Hopefully, in the next detachment being sent once the first one's tour is over.
Update: I'd like to thank Val for making this new banner for me as well as sending me this nice avy which I tweaked a bit to my liking.
Also there's gonna be a restructure of this thread yet again sometime in the future, whenever Val finishes with the new cover image. In the meantime, we're still airborne, baby.
On another note, I slept for almost the entire day today, only having woken up 6 hours ago. Feel really well rested but all for nothing because I need to sleep yet again real soon and then head to work the next day. Spend another week with this term of recruits who are quite unsavory, tbh.
I will say that these guys in particular are most unsavory. Not all of them of course but most of them are those new generation of 'gamer soldiers' who just want to shoot shit up. Not very easy to work with when teaching the discipline and moral values part of being a soldier.
^ I think I know what you mean. To me being a soldier was always more the matter of honour and to be a warrior. I will not say a thing about weapons, because to me in life of soldier those are means, but not meaning of being a soldier.
VALERIY: I would imagine those kinds of people would be unmanageable but I'm sure you'll think of a way. Why you using the dress uniform now rather than the combat one?
Also, American X47-B Unmanned Aerial Vehicle first catapult takeoff and landing. Beautiful, my reaction would also have been like that guy after the takeoff.
China also seems to be making their own UAV similar to the X47-B but nobody knows it's designation or even if it's anything like the X-47.
@Val, because of an incident in the cafe. All over now though. Also that X47-B is a thing of beauty, I read that it's done it's first arrested landing on an aircraft carrier a few days ago. Progress with it is going really well but I wonder how long it will actually take to start implementing them. China's aircraft looks quite nice as well though looking at it, I imagine it has a cockpit to house a pilot. Perhaps it'll be capable to run both autonomously or with a pilot. Those hatches at the bottom also look somewhat like their newly developed PL-10 ASR AA Missile system that's used with the J-20. I can imagine in the future, these two birds will be contesting each other in the sky.
