Something odd of note

I can run MoF through TD but I can't actually play. That is, I can run th(11,12,13).exe but can only access the menu stuff. Any attempt at playing or watching a replay makes it hang at the loading screen then eventually crash. I redownloaded and patched TD (using new score and save data too) but it made no difference. Updated DirectX and made no difference either. This only happens with MoF or newer. The older games work fine still. I copyied the TD install to USB and it runs on a different computer so its something specific to this one.

I'm open to solutions from anyone.

Unrelated: Did a full TD easy+ultra earlier. Its nicely done and definitely harder than easy. At times it tries to be normal mode too. Some of the pleasant changes were in stage 4 and 5. Seiga's first spell was really nice. The rest were the same. Futo is a serious boss. Her non-spells have two rows of the arrows at different speeds and her spells are all way more challenging. There still are a couple of odd things though, like the impossible final futo spell and a bug in one of Kyouko's spells.

I bet it's that ultra patch you use.

Turns out it wasn't that anyways. My sound drivers were disabled and it was looking for them to play music with but never found anything, leading to a crash. Kind of interesting how it only affects newer games though.

Seems like there's a lot of problems going around with sound drivers it seems... If it recently updated and it used to work, then just rollback the driver software, and it should work just fine.

Its not the sound drivers fault. I keep them disabled most of the time to keep them from getting confused over the various audio setups sitting here. It was the first I ran touhou without any of audio system enabled. [size=1]Yes despite always playing on mute it was the first this happened.[/h]

No it was mine for being stupid. Sound drivers are innocent.

Kanako's Expanded Onbashira spell has those huge red lasers. It looks like you can go between them. Hasn't worked yet though. I tried fighting Kanako unfocused. Her 2nd spell made me nervous, then the Hunting Shine Ritual card happened and it all came apart. After that I did some unfocused Mokou timeouts for fun. Hollow Giant Woo, Flaw of Forgiving Shrine and Xu Fu's Dimension. To summarize, I was bored.

Out of curiosity does anyone purposefully timeout attacks to get practice?
