Oh, just wait until you get to the 5th spell card. I think Koishi is the single most difficult Extra boss in the entire series so far (windows era). Nue is the second most, followed by Yukari and then Flandre.

If I'm allowed to be honest, I gotta say both are downright disappointing.
Cosmic mind, for one, is a theme made to represent the Savior of Youkai. It's mandatory for such theme to possess 'power' at the very least, which the original succeed in emphasizing the feeling of Messiah throughout the boss sequence. This arrangement however, lacks such thing. Quite a deal-breaker there.
Do you remember Fires of Hokkai? Doesn't it sound like a theme of arrival to you? Even though I despise Byakuren for taking away 6 of my life points despite for being just a mere single boss, I have to admit that Stage 6, as a whole, is one of the most awesome things in Touhou I've ever experienced. It's simply impossible for me to ask for a better thing than a stage and boss' theme that complement each other perfectly.

To put it simply, that arrangement of Flowering Night also lacks in what make the original great, just like the deal in Cosmic Mind.
You may create fan(arrangements and drawings) as you wish, but you have to remember that every work of art possesses a core/root that shouldn't be taken out in its architecture. What say you regarding those two you posted, Haru?

Well they may lack some crucial elements characterizing them, (like the majestic feeling for the 1st one) and thus seems inferior, if compared to the originals and other versions, but i still found them rather pleasing.

Both are indeed pleasing, to a certain extent. But you cannot help to wonder whether they, as in the composers, just blatantly wasted the potential/core/root which the original possesses or just not aware of such thing in the first place.

Too lazy to ex. I very rarely find and like plain vanilla like that one. The only reason its so good is because its 66 pages so there is plenty of plot development. If it was the average 18 to 20 it wouldn't have received any attention. Currently waiting for a 660 page sequel.

If it's set to have a sequel, its story would most likely revolve around how their love last till the human die or beyond, which is boring, or bonus various sex scenes. Either way, I don't think it would be nice. Is this your first time reading long Touhou H vanilla? I personally prefer tragedy and bittersweet endings.
Try this doujin if you have time to burn. The artist is the guy that I label as "too good to draw hentai doujins", so I can assure you that his arts are exceptional, in positive definition.

The sequel is a pipe dream since it has a solid conclusion. Can't recall for sure since I dont read H anything all that often.

Unrelated to this discussion. I've been thinking of making a custom shirt with Seija Kijin as the theme. Its just a matter of time before shes the newest touhou based meme. Anyways I was thinking of using her dress as a model and making the reversed arrow pattern along the sleeve and waist edges.

She finally has a second limit worth using (not that useless rocket one almost NEVER hits) which has a neato coverage in terms of AoE, and her new wave speaker skill is directionally active - allowing Nitori to cover more ground around her with ease.
