Seriously can't get enough of Doremy's theme and trying to master that bitch. Considering she's only a Stage 3 boss and the title of the game has "lunatic" in it, I think shit is going to get real. Can't wait to see the rest of the bosses and hear the rest of the music.

Touhou 15 came out today.

Stage 5. Stage fucking 5. Fuck you Clownpiece.

The stages are WAY longer in this game. This is going to take a while to master. I thought Doremy Sweet was hard on the demo, but stages 4 and 5, holy shit.

That was a lot faster than I thought. I wasn't expecting it to come out til round October.

Got it... But holy hell. I hate that spell card of Clownpiece's that has the moon spinning around blocking the lasers. Fucking hard as all heck.

I did it on EASY mode too with the Waypoint System. Got to stage six's boss, and said "I give up" when I saw how freaking small Junko's bullets were, and how little space between them there was... So yeah, this might sit on my "Cannot beat" games, right next to SA and UFO...

I still have no idea how to dodge most of Doremy's attacks, especially her midboss section.

Haven't managed to make it to Junko yet but hopefully I'll figure it out. We can't give up too soon XD

Also, Clownpiece is the best drawn and most normal looking character Zun has done in my opinion, since his drawings are usually terrible.

Doremy's attacks are pretty well mannered and quite predictable compared to some other's *cough*Sagume Kishin*cough*. I guess it just takes some time to get used to the patterns though.

I will agree with that. I think he had a lot of fun with her too, seeing as how she just interrupts one of the chapter finish sections in the waypoint mode to come and sort of "mock" you, I guess (I ain't proficient in Japanese to tell you what she's saying).

How's the new game? I played the demo and it was harsh, but I heard that the demos are made harder than the real thing to give the fans more play-time. Did the difficulty change at all?

And speaking of difficulty, is it SA-tier? Or is it curvy-lasers-tier? Or a whole new level entirely? That'd be fun.

The difficulty is above SA level. Stage 5 on Normal is like a EX stage from PCB or similar. Stage 6 is like Yukari's EX stage.

Well, damn. This one's gonna be bumpy.

I'll get to playing this soon; given my track record I might as well (try) to beat it. The Touhou love lives on.

All I gotta say is good luck. I found it difficult even on easy difficulty.

I can't get past Doremy on Normal without using continues, or the Waypoint system. Can't even get to stage 5 without using all of my continues... I seem to like dying more than using my bombs...

I still haven't actually reached Junko. And I'll never unlock the extra stage.

I cleared point-device mode on normal. Technically it doesn't really count as a 1cc (certainly doesn't feel like one), but hey, it unlocked extra mode apparently.

I used 288 retries on this, so I don't bloody know how I'll ever pull off legacy mode 1cc. I might even skip it entirely and go for extra mode instead, since it seems like the extra mode's difficulty is actually made for non-point device runs.



gitaaa consensus: LoLK is insane, but point-device makes it beatable. Just don't use bombs until Clownpiece's 2nd spellcard if possible. As for legacy mode 1cc, though, I have no idea.

Oh, and Clownpiece a cute. There's hope for ZUNart.

After literal years of trying, I finally got past Maze of Love, only because I had enough lives and wasn't fast enough on the bombs.

Wish I could give my replay, but I don't know how to.


Edit: @gitaaa: I wish I could clear it in point-device mode. But Clownpiece's second spellcard is too hard to get past. I literally tried one night for 300 tries, and never beat it on normal. Though, I did figure out how you get life piece's in LoLK. One word... Grazing. Enough to get at least 200 points will net you a life piece every chapter.

Yeah, the 'murica second spellcard is tricky. You have to go through the stars quick, get up close, line yourself up for the next batch of stripes and repeat x times.

What's more, the stars increase the longer the spell goes on, so plowing through them gets more and more harder.
