If you were about to create your own original character, what kind of species/position would you assign her to and why ?

I already thought up about some character while working on the concept of my next Touhou Fic

She's probably some kind of mixture between Human and Youkai, particularly from a youkai mother which has extremely strong ice capabilities and a human father which is a very experienced explorer of ice mountains.

I think she will have a dormant potential for ice-based techniques because of the days she spent as a normal human at the outside world, but that power awakened again when she's brought back to Gensokyo, which in surprise was her birthplace (exact place : Eientei) will be explained later in the story.

Because she came during the time of global warming due to the outrage of fire spirits in Gensokyo, she's assigned a role to exterminate these spirits and bring balance to the weather in this place, well that's only at that fic though~

For her personality, she's basically a quiet and easy-going person, doesn't talk much and mostly observes things around her. A bit careless but can be a very reliable person when faced with great responsibilities, likes slacking off and usually avoids social gatherings, often can be found wandering around in secluded places thinking about many stuff.

Well there's many more to add but that's it all for now, can't think of the reasons yet since it all will be explained later after I wrote this fic~

So you are thinking of a mixed-blood character ? Quite a coincidence since my newest OC is also a hybrid and is also not native to Gensokyo (the latter is applied to all of my characters to be exact).

Whoa she's probably will be too hard to draw at my current skill level, I'll probably try to think up of some illustration after that fic featuring her has been finished up. Hopefully my drawing skills will be sufficient at that time to perfectly portray her as my imagination does~

Keine's will be about trivia and Gunbuster's science history class, as expected from a teacher! The second one is loosely based on GameCenter CX, of course it'll be about gaming.

Yuyuko Saigyouji - Covert warfare; Yuyuko's forte. Soldiers are expected to become like Solid Snake or Sam Fisher, when Yuyuko had enough or cornered she'll just use her ability to manipulate death and ends it.

Actually... from what I've counted Orin only has 8 health bars counting her midboss and boss appearances. It's two less than extra bosses' health bars.





My OC will be a 'he'.

He's a normal human, 29 year old, still single, a quiet and easygoing normal farmer working on a paddy field 9-to-5. His parents had tried to find him a wife, so they can have grandchildren already, but he always refuses. He's addicted to sweets and his favorite is dango.

His story will revolves around his daily struggles to live. We'll follow his life as he work hard to pay the rent so his landlord won't bust his ass from the house.
His relation to the other Touhou characters(except Rinnosuke) is he hates them so much. Because those girls always recklessly playing danmaku and wrecking his field, so he has to work overtime and sometimes even had his salary cut. He's a bro with Rinnosuke because they have a similar problems with the girls.

Hermit. Hermit's have the potential to turn into celestials or shikaisens.

As for why:
She used to be a regular human with a completely normal family. A global recession causes the family to suffer a bit, the husband had it the worst. One day she discovers her husband and kids all dead. The shock and subsequent depression made her fake her own death and become a hermit. Some time after she entered Gensokyo.

Having imagination that surpasses your own skill is actually a good thing. The longer your trip to your destination is, the more experience you can farm during it.

Miyabi, my OC, was a shinigami, and a being that's both dead and alive

I've always been interested in paradoxes. Ever since my exposure to TYPE-MOON, paradoxes have intrigued me to the point of researching, asking, writing, inquiring and reading about the possible effects of such phenomena. In turn, I wanted to make Miyabi a peculiar kind of existence - something that should be and shouldn't be at the same time is a break in common sense, which I think Gensokyo is happy to accept.

However, in keeping with canon as much as possible, I tried to make her as ignorable, as insignificant, as ephemeral, and as vague an existence as I possibly can

Kazuki Itsuki

Apperance - Wears a green wafuku designed lightly with prints of branches with leaves. The ends of his limbs are of a darker shade of brown and has a bark-like texture. His hair is well kept at shoulder length of a earth brown color and his chest reveals the scar of the demon, still polluted with area of purple from the poison and the identical bark-like texture around the scar's perimeter.

Background-

An old Kodama residing spirit that resides in the bamboo forest of the lost. Itsuki was on recovery hibernation after suffering from a poisonous wound when fending a group of hostile yokais that threatens the territory of while his fellow kodamas lived.

While he slept, the stem turned a unhealthy shade of brown and the branches of the bamboo plant withered. It was obvious to the fellow kodamas that Itsuki's recovery would end in failure, the poison would overcome and claim him. Knowing that Itsuki will not live through his ordeal, his comrades and friends took it upon themselves to sacrfice themselves, they drained the poison off the bamboo plant that Itsuki resides and transferred their remaining life force to the slumbering Itsuki. While his host plant survived, the surrounding area was a circle of dead bamboo plants.

While his species died for him, a small dose of poison remained that despite being unfatal, would result in a extended hibernation that'll carry on for hundreds of years, passing even through the creation of the great hakurei barrier.

Itsuki wakes ups nearly a month later after the events of imperishable night. During a random confrontation between Mokou and Kaguya, a stray danmaku hits near where Itsuki's bamboo plant resides which wakes him. In confusion and shock from the situation presented to him, Itsuki proceeded to attack Kaguya thinking her as a demoness of sort that slaughtered his friends and family. His aggression turned to Mokou after Kaguya hastily retreated from the unexpected attack, despite his berserk fury Itsuki was defeated and left injured while Mokou, too injured but immortal left the scene of burnt earth and shattered vegetation.

It'll take a few weeks of recovery and gaining his bearings of the situation that he's in. Despite sadden by the realization that he's alone now, Itsuki decides to live on to protect the forest for chance that other kodamas might someday come.

Current life -

Itsuki apologized to the Mokou and Kaguya for his rash behavior. He also reached an agreement with Mokou to establish a monthly based cycle of areas to harvest bamboo shoots to prevent over harvesting of concentrated part of the forest. The kodama spirit can be seen occasionally on the human village visiting the settlement of Hieda no Akyu to learn what he had missed during his centuries long slumber which has also established him a friendly relationship with Kamishirasawa Keine during a few intervals in his visits.

Well, if it hits you too close to home, it's because I'm intended that to be. With this OC I'm trying to depict the daily lives' of a normal human in Gensokyo. No power to manipulate things, no spellcard. You see, the daily and ordinary lives of humans in Gensokyo could use more coverage. Even a farmer can make a difference in Gensokyo!

Kind of. I didn't realize that a human could become a hermit until reading about Seiga.
