This thread needs more Jiang Shi's.
I started playing touhou around september. I've played 4 games so far, two shooters (Ten desires, Fairy wars) and two fighters (SWR, UNL). SWR was my first game.
I like yoshika.

On that note, care to elaborate a little more about your interest in Yoshika, and how you got into touhou in the first place? Knowing is a bonus, and will help to get things moving along smoothly~

In that sense, you could say I'm agreeable on scrap booking, but we first need to determine what goes into it - and how each participant can contribute in their own unique way.
I suggest having a template of sorts, and have each member add their personal touch to a page or two of it.

I installed Scarlet Weather Rhapsody first, not knowing that it's a fighter game- not knowing that there are touhou fighter games at all. I thought they were all shooters.
My first attempts at the game were all over the place, but I got used to it after a while. Didn't even know I could "graze" bullets; it helped me out a lot when I found out that I can.
Then I played fairy wars, UNL soku afterwards, and now I'm playing Ten desires. Hence, Yoshika. I searched for Yoshika fanart and I liked her even more.

Its not "do you even Kratos?" its "do you even kill everything that moves?" All of the VN's are being postponed until consoles are done. Console games take a couple days each, a good VN takes weeks.
Do you have an example of what includes Flan that is not awesome?
Reviews of every game and sample strategies? Lets split the work, You and I do one spellcard from a game and Jencat does everything else. If Jen's work isnt perfect he gets fed to hungry youkai.

I don't know how could you have the initiative to try that, but I suggest you to try to broaden your knowledge first via playing games that offer basic of the basics such as Touhou 6.0: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil and Touhou 7.0: Perfect Cherry Blossom. It's fine to play newer games, but it's much better to understand the mechanic from its predecessors first.

Sounds like you're saying that we are gonna disband the club right after the 2nd anniversary.
How about we simplify the scrapbook idea into something like Tanabata wishlist. That way we can cover the new year theme along with the anniversary spirit with no complex procedures in one slap.
1. Write down your actual wish for next year; non-Touhou(optional) or Touhou-related (mandatory), one wish for each category.
2. Send me your wishes via private messages. Don't forget to mention your #1 favorite character.
3. Wait till the result is announced.
4. The result should be something like this picture combined with that picture, with our wishes written on the papers.
What do you think? Any reply that's not pleasant will earn you a free ticket to hell.

Yes, I agree with you. I tried out Fairy wars first thinking "This is the newest shooter game, this one must be the best."

Speaking of Kratos, there was a part where you have to dodge falling stones while flying upwards. I couldn't help but laugh at the simplicity. No lasers, no curving lasers, very clearly visible safe path, just huge slow rocks.
