It's something like a habit from young age. we grow up with the fear that if we ask and get turned down, it'll be the end of the world. that habitual form of thinking only makes the fear grow in a man, thus it makes it incredibly difficult to express his feelings...Of course, that's only my theory based off regular human psychology, so it might not apply to everyone
