The last decision is up to Art but the name rule applying to nicknames that the characters were commonly known as in the series in the event that their real name was not revealed early in the work worked well for these situations.

Say that this was a brand new manga/show without any previous work you claim a character 1st round and 4-5 weeks later they reveal that for whatever reason the person's true name was different. Someone could claim them in a later round unless you went back and edited your claim. Whose to say this wouldn't happen with a new original series.

The thing with Celes is interesting. Personally I think Pump should have looked up Celes since Danganronpa has been out in some form for 3 years already. At the same time though, she was initially claimed in the first round and Mel wants her now in the 3rd round. If Celes was a popular claim this would have been an issue in the first round. I think Pump should keep her since there has been a significant period of time been his claim and Mel's.

In future to prevent this from happening again recommend everyone look up their claims beforehand. If it happens again the user with the correct name gets the claim regardless of time between posts.

On the issue brought up by waynoinsano. If the series has just started and a characters full name is revealed after a claim, I think the claim with the old name should be allowed.

This is as close as we can get to an NTR rule without having one.

Of course it's srz bsnz. I remember when the game started with only like two rules. State the name and source. It was a free for all first come first serve. Then enter the minimum post Game 2. After that, the rules kept on increasing.

It seems unimportant now, since Melfice revoked the claim, but I believe that any challenge on another's claim should be confined within the round that is currently active.

Once a given round is over, that rounds waifu/manfu choices should be set in stone, with the exception of the Divorce rule.

Things would be different if the NTR option were in effect, because that would be part of the more competitive aspect of an NTR game. Since this game was supposed to be more friendly, in order to attract a wider forum community involvement, it seems important to allow a little leeway to the rules in cases such as this.

I certainly wouldn't want my choice invalidated just because somebody called my catgirl "Kitten" on page 84 of Volume 2 in the manga, and I forgot to reference it.

Also, could you spoiler tag a little more of your claim? Its still spoils quite a few things there, potentially, though I'm not sure how far the anime is(and even then, I feel you revealed quite a sum). That's just my opinion though.

Seconding this and of course siding with PumpJack. In previous games alias were accepted in a claim provided there was no confusion about who was being claimed. Of course the rules as they are now are pretty clear;

I was going to pick Cirno as my third choice since for some weird reason no one had claimed her, but I went with my other choice instead.

No, I think this round lasts only one week, but rounds four and five are both two weeks long.

round 5 last until the next game starts so it should be a 2 week wait this time unless art changes things

For series I like, I try to avoid spoilers. I didn't look anything up because- given the fact it's kind-of-the-whole-fucking-point of the series- I didn't want to accidentally discover beforehand who dies and who doesn't.

I haven't played the game, and only got to episode four of the show before I gave up on streaming because of a shitty internet and decided to wait for the series to end before I torrent it (I despise downloading things piece-by-piece).

I'm disappointed in this guy because he hasn't posted a picture of her.
