i'm not trying to brag,but i've been to a lot of coutries.and i've been traveling since i was 13.been traveling at least twice a year since then.
so i consider myself experienced enough to answer q's about travel.

japan,singapore,thailand,hongkong,taiwan,south africa,egypt,israel,palestine,argentina,brazil,usa,canada,uae,arab saudi,china,south korea,portugal,spain,france,italy,swiss,austria,germany,belgium, holland,
vatican,monaco,denmark,norway,finland,sweden,russia,england,scotland,wales,ireland,northern ireland.....

and of course,indonesia.

is airport security a hassle and what have your wait times been

no,as long as you don't bring a large amount of fresh/wet foods(mcd,burger,fruits,dsb.chocolate or packed food is usually allowed),toiletry,and sharp things to the cabin.

and to some countries,race is sometimes a problem.
take russia.the airport security usually ask asians with more questions than other race.or in america,people with arab characteristics(moustache)is usually halted by a security guard and asked various question,especially after 9/11.it's now not as hard often though.

having a visa of a major countries like japan and UK helps reducing the hassle,as i usually never got a problem with the security after i got their visa.

as for the longest wait times,i've been delayed for a flight forabout 18 hrs because of a thunderstorm.

is it hard to sleep while flying

the trick:pull an all-nighter the day before a long flight.

the firts thing about japan:it broke your bank.
it really is amazing,though.
you'll see alot of things that you wouldn't see in another countries.
the freakiness,the tech stuffs,the hectic pace(in the city)
the culture,the attention to detail,the warmness(in the countryside)

i'm telling you,you should go there at least once in your lifetime.
try eating kaiseki ryouri,get wasted in some random yakitori/beer joint,
poop in their toilet(i'm telling you,their closet is like no other),spend a night or to in the temple lodging(yes,you could stay at a temple),watch a kabuki show,go to an anime convention,go to a love hotel and spend the night.

just too much amazing things to do.

the easiest would be australia.they're the cheapest.

london is a bit harder.it's more expensive,and you have to open your ears at all time,because their english is fast and unclear(especially in the countryside)and try to save your lodging and eating budget.it's those two that'll broke you.oh,and DO NOT GO SHOPPING OR TAKE THE TAXI IF YOU DON"T WANT TO DESTROY YOUR WALLET.

japan would be the hardest.their culture and their common sense is really differnt than yours.the prices is amazingly high,and their english makes no sense(that's if you could find a japanese that could speak english)
i suggest that you bring a friend that speaks japanese.you don't have to worry about transport though,their trasportation chains(bus,trains and ferry)is the best i've ever use.

I have travelled a lot also, I'm from Argentina, I've been in Mexico, U.s.a, Guatemala, Chile, Spain, Italy, England, Ireland, Germany, etc (europe).

The thing is. What are your tree favourites and the ones you regret to have gone or you didn't like it. that´s all.

I've been alot of places in the Americas and Europe, I live in the US but im from Venezuela. Which is the best beach u've been/seen in one of your travels? Best Hotel? Place u would return to a couple of time? :D

Japan's better nowadays, back from going there last week, but akihabra is still a wallet killer. Going to china in 2 days to translate for the olympics! Let me know if you're gonna go!

go to Italy or France, beautiful beautiful places. Don't go to a large city if you're going to italy, go out to the countryside and enjoy the view and local food and wine. great wine, good tomato pasta and some actual ITALIAN PIZZA (OMG, not that shit we have in America(cept Chicago and New Haven)) will make for a very happy traveller

How was Finland? I'm actually part Finish, but I've never been there. From what my grandparents say it's really nice.

Well I can recommend Germany (if you like culture and a lot of medieval history, forests, old stories and a serious atmosphere), Denmark (if you just want to relax, be around funny people that are really friendly, like the sea and simply want to have a good time in a country that isn't too warm), Sweden (Forests, Sea, Fish, good food, some history, nice cities, nice girls etc.), Austria incase you are interested in art, music, history and people with slight spleens, though very nice ones. Austria has very good food aswell, good beer, some nice wine and awesome operas and musicals in Vienna (Wien).
I could name a few more but I am sure others will mention them ^^.
