He's probably talking about the new windows image viewer in vista that allows for zoom and drag. Old XP when you zoomed the image, you had to hit the scroll arrows to adjust the page. Vista you zoom the image, you just take the hand tool (Defaulted) and drag it up or down.
Btw, shut off pre-fetch, UAC, and Super-Indexing, and Vista works like a dream. I've been using Vista Ultimate x64 for over a year now and have had no issues whatsoever. Haven't even had a bluescreen i didn't induce myself (OC stress testing)

I use vista and I dont have any problems with it, granted this computer is kinda new, bought it last year, have it for about little over a year now.
After you get over the inital bump on the road kind of thing, u'll get used to how it works. And i'm so used to XP so it took me abit.. but heck, vista works fine, from what other people says, probably need at least somewhat brand new cpus to use it.

My first impression about vista is it's piss me off because I can't play Hitman Blood Money with it...

The only reason i use vista is because of DirectX 10, no other reason for me to switch, which is why i dual-boot. Vista is bloated and therefor slower than xp. If directx 10 was supported by xp i would have the perfect system. Tried linux for while, too much a pain with installing drivers and apps that aren't in a package (does remain the most stable though)

My boyfriend and I have about the same [old] computer. Though his was a tad bit better than mine. He has XP still and I have Vista - no contest my computer now is a lot faster than his.
It's pretty funny actually because everyone expected it to mess up. I've had it for a while now and I haven't had any troubles with it and I'm the type of person to download too many programs into her computer!

it seems to me majority of people dislike vista because of minor inconviences rather than system errors, but if you have decent knowledge of pc's then its actually quite simple to tweak vista to make it run almost identical to XP, also due to vista's new features most pc's with 2GB of RAM can run vista smoothly. but then again my pc has 4GB of RAM so it chews through most things i throw at it :roll:

I have a quad core 2gb video card ram with 8gb ddr3 833mhz ram. I would rather run XP than vista, but I run vista for DX 10 and ONLY DX10. Vista is for the technological retarded people who have no idea what the hell the run command was ever used for anyways. I like to customize things and screw around. Vista offers me two choices when it comes to security and customization 1. Do it our way 2. Start hacking. Plus, just the fact of the folder permissions in program files is enough to drive me off the wall. I do way too much stuff to have Vista turn around and say "YOUR NOT THE OWNER BITCH!". I hate the interface. It's annoying to say the least. And when Vista came out, it was pretty much learn how to hack Microsoft files through a long period of 5 days(which I did) or revert back to XP for custom themes. XP runs faster than vista, vista uses a wopping 789mb of ram on my computer. I run the 64-bit ultimate edition. And frankly. I'm thinking of going back to XP seeing as just about any game doesn't use DX10 and any game that does has already been cracked for XP. It's a BITCH to install and use programs on vista. I make websites, and I manage an Internet Cafe. Vista makes my life a nightmare. Thank god I have two identical computers. One with XP and one with Vista. I use my XP machine a lot more. And I'm only using the Vista one because it's newer and it has a few little neat options which can already be installed on XP. Oh well. I guess I'll stick to using my XP computer whenever I can.
Funny by the way. I've gotten the BSOD(Blue Screen of Death) Countless times on Vista, and a lot more system errors too. Where as in XP I've never gotten the BSOD. And I've tweaked Vista to run as fast as possible. I tweaked XP, the max usage on XP is 180-200mb ram, that's running all the services. The MINIMUM usage on Vista is 700-800mbs and btw, that's not explorer.exe that's all the services and features. So don't flame me. 800mbs on 833mhz ddr 3 ram. Now that's a fat whore.

What? I played Hitman: Blood Money perfectly fine. Try running it in compatibility mode for XP. That should solve any problem.

Parental controls yes annoing to some but for parents with young children its great

[list]As i am a self-employed computer techy i like vista for the quick and easy installion, but i have had requests from people saying they want there laptop to have XP not Vista (brought of someone else not me) which sometimes is easy but i have had quite a few problems because quite a few laptops are vista bummers and don't make Xp drivers so i strugle to get them working proberly, i myself i have both OSs XP and Vista (yea pointless? i no but yea) i use XP almost 99.9% of the time, i just have vista because i got it for free so i might as well use it. so i don't hate hate it, i just don't like it[/list:u]
