Becoming a parent

So recently I was reminiscing about a few years back, during my train of thought I remembered that a few years back I always used to proclaim that I refused to have children what-so-ever. However now that I've grown older I've noticed that the thought of having a child of my own doesn't bother me anymore. Back then I most likely didn't enjoy the thought of having a child because I myself was a difficult child and quite a handful, not that I did bad things on purpose but I just was very hard to handle. Also since I was raised (from 8-12) in a large family and my father and stepmother having a baby every so years, I guess having experienced so many children being born during a period in my life that things were far from easy, it just somewhat left a bad impression on me. However as I mentioned it doesn't actually bother anymore, it actually sounds really natural to me that I'd have my own child someday. It's not like I want it by all costs but I wouldn't mind it if I was ready for it (financially, mentally, all that jazz). So my question to you is: Do you ever want to become a parent? How many children would you want? (Other details are welcomed to be shared.)

I want a kid. My now-fiance doesn't. Sigh.

I keep imagining having a little girl named Rhea. I want one enough that I would be more than happy to give up my anime collecting just to dote on a baby of my own. I would be over the moon. But on the more realistic side, I'm poor. I couldn't afford to take care of a baby right now, however much I want one. So, maybe someday...

I currently am just not fit enough to be a parent right now, I'm selfish, ungrateful, and immature. Sad enough I don't want to change my life-style for a kid.

Your post is contradicting itself you know, at the age of 6, that's when they're the whiny brats. My 5 year old cousin always demands annoying questions and whines how he fucking owns the place; eating sushi brought by his mom instead of the food we cook for him. That fucking spoiled bastard.

I guess that show you how much I pay attention to things I hate.

yes, but i want to skip the first couple of years with the diapers and terrible 2's. once they can talk it's way easier. they can bring me more beer and i never have to get off the couch.

Its a part of the human programing to want to have children, so obviously, when I get older, I wanna have at least 1
