I've competed in some voice acting competitions here in the Philippines, the judges say I have the talent, I was offered a deal by a local TV network but the problem is, my parents didn't approve the deal so that I could concentrate in my studies.

you can practice by reading manga outloud, comics, doing lines from plays or movies or anime, etc etc. some people might find it weird, or odd, so if you want opinions it's better to ask someone who either has an interest in VA or does it/has done it/wants to do it themselves. by being a group we could help each other improve, and practice, and look to others for examples and the like.
i'm always willing to do a project with someone, including VA stuff, even if its just practice or talking about it. so if anyone's really interested/wants critique or an opinion or anything, just let me know on this thread or by PM?

Apparently I'm considered a good actor/comedian and my friends always tell me to pick it up as a profession. I'm kinda shy though so they insisted I try for VA, I sometimes feel like I sound good also but when I listen to it on record it sounds weird, not how it sounds coming from my mouth ya know?

My friends are always amazed every time I sing or change my voice.
There's also one class in my college that our project was dubbing an anime in our native language and it was very fun to do, specially with friends.
If it would be possible, I'll also want to be a seiyuu :3

I'm kinda good at changing voices too, in fact, I can even change my voice to that of a girl and mimic pretty nicely. Like I can sing with almost Kawada Mami's voice, I don't really know how good I am. Although no one heard me doing it though.

I would love to be one but somethings are stopping me
well for one I got a crappy lisp well kinda it's hard to explain but I have a hard time with S's damm
also I don't have the resources to take a risky job like that but I wish I could do it for fun hell I want to get into abridging.

i always thought it might be fun to try but i never took it seriously as a profession. reality is harsh,i think you make it a profitable job only if you somewhere or go somewhere where the job is called for.

I've debated on it.
Mainly due to people complimenting me on my voice. But my slight lisp (most people don't even notice it till I mention it) may be an issue. Plus I haven't tried doing too many different sort of voices.

I kinda agree with you but we need some more people to say something similar to your words, in other words, we need more people wanting to make a group in here!
