Anyways, a good start would be to make sure everyone involved has access to a decent microphone and recording program. Afterwards it's a matter of finding a good way to share the sound files (I believe there's sites for that- not sure meself).

And finally just some trail runs with a short clip from some show. Got any in mind?

Don't really have a passion for it but I do wonder how some of the English Voice Actors get any work. Especially the ones who do outrageously "Cartoon-y" voices. Like, very exaggerated voices.

In any case (and on topic), I reckon I would give it a try if I found an opportunity. Maybe it's harder than I think and then I would respect the current English Voice Actors a little more.

And as a File-sharing idea, my Friends and I use Dropbox for Wallpapers and Songs we write. Maybe someone could look into that? Even as just a storage for Short Voice Clips. Other than that, No idea how to share Audio Files.

I don't have a recording program on me, so I don't know any either, any recording programs I could download?

As for the soundfiles problem, its simple, put the sound files within a RAR file and then upload it to MediaFire, the best file sharing site I've known. You can make a free basic account in there and then upload it. Uploading limit is 200mb and soundfiles are probably not that big so there shouldn't be any problem, right?

again, skype is always a good option in my opinion, since we can all chat and discuss at the same time as practicing.

Don't you need a webcam to use Skype?

no, you do not. video calling is optional.
and yes, it's free to call other users with skype.
though you can buy "skype credits" to buy landlines/mobiles. =~=

Well, I think the thread should come first- or at least- solid confirmations of peoples' participation.

Then we can verify what means and resources everyone has, so that we may plan accordingly to who has what.

I have Skype in my computer but my older sister uses it, I'm too lazy to get started with that.

Video chat sounds good but I don't have a web cam and nor do I wish to take privacy away completely from everyone (and lastly myself, well, not yet at least). Showing the voice should be the maximum.

Anyways, I think we oughter make a Chat thread to get people on board- people are more likely to see it there.

The best way to get ahold of scripts would be to contact translation teams who do the fansubs.

It'd also be best if everyone onboard could agree on a series to cover.

Best be organized about the whole thing.

- Confirm everyone's participation.
- Confirm everyone has access to: microphone, recording program, (skype I suppose), decent computer.
- Choose a series (or two, whatever) series to do.
- Contact translation team and get ahold of the script.
- Assign roles, practice, etc.
- Choose who would be in charge of editing the footage, sound files, uploading to the net, etc.

And then finally, get cracking and do some dubbing.

As such, recruitment and finding a translation team comes first.

Actually if its at morning, then it should be before 10 because of issues with stupid people, if I come here at say 7-9, then I'm free. It seems that my general free time everyday is actually 3:30pm-5:00pm. Other than that, if you're online everyday morning (on my time) in fakku then I guess if I turn out to be free I can always contact you when you're online thinking that you're free, only if I myself an free, try to be online more on fakku and keep the 'show online status' on please, it'll be more helpful that way for me.

@Aki what's your GMT? Is your timeline as same as Pump and the others.

I have no desire to become in anyway involved with voice acting. The reason is because I've known people who have voice acted for minor characters and been screwed out of what's due to them.

Being a voice actor would surely be a work that i´d like to do for a living, be it for anime or real movies. The fact that i have an accent, and that im not 100% fluent in english doesnt make a project like this happen, but maybe as a voice actor in my own country, that would be something i´d really like to do.

Voice acting sure would be a cool job, but I just hate having to fake emotions. Especially sadness/crying. I dunno if I could do parts like that. I'd have to voice the stoic/emotionless character.

It's something I always wanted to do, hut was never quite as how to go about it.
As I'm sure other have mentioned, there has to be someone with VA experience who can lead a practice group to help people.
