Still, aside from the puns, I don't see the major toxic waste dump you keep mentioning, assassin.
It went, quite smoothly, from a collection of one-shots detailing how much a seer hates the community of morons he's stuck in, to a melodramatic RPG plot where the main character doesn't swing around a sword the size of a fucking Abrams.
Any other webcomics you'd care to direct me...err, point out the rampant toxicity of?
Perry Bible Fellowship
This possibly one of the best webcomics out there. Some are definitely more clever than others but the bar is pretty high on average. Also note the clear progression of the art and distinct style. I'm not usually a graphics whore but the presentation of DD is about 60% of why I hate it so much.
XKCD
This comic is just to illustrate the importance of good writing in the absence of visual appeal. Even with stick figures and whatnot it manages to be entertaining and clever. Sometimes the guy gets a bit up his own ass though and either becomes very sappy or kills it with math.
Those are the two webcomics I follow most regularly and pretty much what I judge others by. The "News Nina" off Anime News Network is pretty good for a laugh but it's just kinda there on the site; I'm not sure if I'd read it otherwise. I've just started getting into
Married to the Sea but I'm not finding it as thoroughly enjoyable as PBF was.
