Do you know what hate mail is? It's hate. In mail form. I wasn't trying to help him improve because he shows no ability to do so. His comic is about 1000 strips long and has continued for 6 years without improvement. I guess maintaining the talent level of a twelve year-old for more than half a decade despite being 30 (or something close) would be something to brag about if it weren't pathetic. Not to mention that people better than him have to deal with hate mail. It's sent for the enjoyment of the sender, not to help the recipient. Unless they take it to heart and learn to get some talent.
Also, I have a right to complain about whatever the fuck I want. I happened to stumble upon this affront to webcomics and decided that it warranted my wrath. After the unexpected reaction I got from this community I decided to read it further and see if there was some sort of secret technique like reading it in a mirror would remove the suck but it just made it worse. I'm content to leave it alone from this point but if you're going to start shit with me then that's your choice.

It went, quite smoothly, from a collection of one-shots detailing how much a seer hates the community of morons he's stuck in, to a melodramatic RPG plot where the main character doesn't swing around a sword the size of a fucking Abrams.

Perry Bible Fellowship
This possibly one of the best webcomics out there. Some are definitely more clever than others but the bar is pretty high on average. Also note the clear progression of the art and distinct style. I'm not usually a graphics whore but the presentation of DD is about 60% of why I hate it so much.

This comic is just to illustrate the importance of good writing in the absence of visual appeal. Even with stick figures and whatnot it manages to be entertaining and clever. Sometimes the guy gets a bit up his own ass though and either becomes very sappy or kills it with math.
Those are the two webcomics I follow most regularly and pretty much what I judge others by. The "News Nina" off Anime News Network is pretty good for a laugh but it's just kinda there on the site; I'm not sure if I'd read it otherwise. I've just started getting into Married to the Sea but I'm not finding it as thoroughly enjoyable as PBF was.

I would have to agree with blind_assassin. I thought that was shit, that webcomic. The comedy was aimed at three year olds at best. I don't mind art styles if the comedy is A grade.
And I agree with the previous two references, as they both rule in their own ways. But I like the nerdy references all the time. Heheh.

Clearly we should just totally disregard each others opinions on webcomics entirely. You hate what I would consider the best (yet simple-minded) webcomic on the net and you also like Dominic Deegan; which is now something I consider worthy of pushing someone down the stairs for.

My opinion... it wasn't funny. It's like that person you work with that "thinks" their funny, but it's really not that funny. "The lower back problems joke"... overdone, wasn't delivered well. That is just my opinion. To me, give me natalie dee, toothpaste for dinner, or married to the sea anyday.
