Halloween Costumes

I like it when girls get creative, but when most of them think a school girl outfit is suppose to be a friggin costume that's when I think less of them. I could walk to a private high school and see a herd of them. I don't care if they're pixies, princesses, cops, nurses, but it just shows that they're like everyone else and couldn't get their imagination goin.

Usually I dress as a witch for Halloween, because I have the hair for it, but last year people mistook me for Morticia Addams (how, I dunno, my hair's brown...) but this year I'm going to celebrate Gay Pride, so I migth dress as a rainbow (RAINBOW COMING YER WAY!) or I'll cosplay as I do regularly.

I don't think less of the girls who wear those costumes. I think less of PEOPLE who wear Halloween costumes beyond the age of 10, period. Unless they're actors or the poor saps at Disneyworld stuck in a Goofy costume. Those I pity.

I usually attend halloween parties in bars, disco halls and other venues with me in Visual Kei goth style clothes.
Well, it was cool since you're in a room with at least 20 people in vampire costumes, many women in normal clothes with cute devil horns attached to a headband, and so many assholes in tattered clotes with crude lipstick on their lips and pretending to be zombies.
Well, for my trouble I once won "Best Costume" in a halloween party three years ago. And last year's halloween party I attended I narrowly lost third place to a guy dressed as Osama.

this may be off topic but I was thinking of doing this for my costume but I don't know if it is in bad taste. I'm thinking of being Christopher Reeve for halloween. Basically I am going to wear a superman costume and roll around in a wheelchair. So yeah, is that in bad taste?

Halloween costumes are simply eye candy regardless of their representation. There is no true point to them other than to attract attention from others, for better or worse.That said, I find the entire thing pointless... but if females are willing to show more skin then normal for this pointless event, I am not one to complain.
However, knowing my opinion is pretty much useless to this conversation, I'll add that I agree. I do think costumes have become bland and repetitive.
My idea for a Halloween costume consists of metal pipes lined horizontally up a vest, all connected to one another via various wires that lead up to a hand held trigger. You then throw on(or grow) a beard and drive to your local Wal-Mart. Charge the front door, burst inside, and scream "ALLAAAAAAAH!!!" holding the trigger into the air and run around madly until security tackles you.
Some call this terrorism, I call it being true to the holiday itself: scaring the shit out of people.
