Headphones or earbuds?

For listening at home good quality headphones are great use the open headphones for longer periods of time since they're much more comfortable to wear for a few hours I've got a pair of HD Sennheiser 555s great cans and very comfortable if you don't mind the open nature of the design.
For on the go listening definitely earbuds for the portability, or smaller headphones if you don't mind a bit of bulk.

I definitely agree with this. Though, in my case I use an AKG K44 since I prefer the closed design.

Headphones are a rather obvious winner.
However, the thing I find weird is that no matter what I use, be it headphones or earbuds, they both break in seemingly the same time (but I did buy the Skull Candy ones, unfortunately).
Could anyone give me recommendations for decently priced but excellent earbuds? Headphones aren't so much a priority for my iTouch, heh.

I don't live in the States so I'm not sure but you can probably get them from the major retailers but you'll have more luck online and looking at dedicated audio visual stores.
Edit: We also need a consolidated Headphones thread too many people posting asking about the same thing.

earbud give me headaches and most headphones tend to break to easily.

Shame that Porta Pros doesn't seem to be listed so far. I personally just go with earbuds, since they're pocket friendly. So far the Sony brand lasts pretty well for me.

Earphones are too bulky. Earbuds are unobtrusive.

earbuds. but you gotta buy the nice ones that stay in your ears nice and snug. what happens when you gotta put your mp3 play away? you cant wrap your headphones around your player and put it in your pocket. and dont say hang your phones around your neck because unless you can pull it off you'll look like a complete fag.

The 202's are meh, better than skullcandy's at least, but anything is better than skullcandy's lol.
Pay $8 USD more and get a pair of JVC HA-RX700's.
They are far superior to the 202's in every way shape and form.
