Idiotic Boy needs help!

Okay, I'm finding it a bit hard to understand this whole Brotherhood thing. You can vow to be single forever, but not to live in the convent, or church, or whatever. Making a vow doesn't just make you a better person. And anyway, from the things you say, I assume that even if you didn't make a vow, that you would still stay single because you just don't have that kind of interest in women. Doesn't the point of making the vow get lost when it's not a temptation. For example, I like eating chocolate, A LOT, and I make a vow to never eat it again for the rest of my life, I can see some meaning behind that. It's something that you're giving up even if you don't want to, but if it's something that you can easily let go of without any second thoughts, what is the real purpose of it?

To be honest he sounds like he's around 10-12 years old. I don't intend that as an insult, just stating my opinion given the general nature and content of his posts.

since this is a 18+ page We should assume he's 18 and just quite inexperienced with girls, which is fine; though sounds like he's about 16-17 to me.

Perhaps not always the best learning experience, some girls will bludgeon you into stupidville for doing something wrong. I will admit that having a girlfriend is good experience though, typically very fun, assuming they aren't as boring as my last girlfriend was...holy crap I thought that night would never end.

And I didn't throw that age out because I believe you're stupid either. You just seem very very very inexperienced, and seem to be confused and have misunderstandings about a lot of things. All of which lead me to believe you're probably very young and inexperienced. I think all of us had weird preconceptions about relationships, sex, and the opposite sex when we were younger. The only way to learn more about it all and gain some experience so you can participate in the wonderful things about relationships is by actually going out and doing it.

Life is all about memories and experiences, you only live once, why miss out on the good stuff?

PS. As for dating people you're friends with, or "taking it to the next level", in many ways your lover should be your best friend, so if your best friend is a girl that you're physically attracted to, that can be a great scenario. And usually in my experience if it ends up that it doesn't work, depending on the way YOU can deal with it, most girls are pretty good at going back to being friends. But like I said, it depends on how YOU can manage the transistion back.

@Ultenth:Huh...I never had any misconceptions about others, I mostly handled each person on a person to person basis, judging them by how they behaved rather than guessing at their behavior.

@Uzu:You do seem incredibly inexperienced, not even taking into consideration your own status as a virgin. I would figure that since we were on the topic of girls that would be a priority.

EDIT: Yay me I'm elite now....wait I've always been elite(ist)...ok I'm kidding about being elitist, but I typically excel at everything I do, except climbing ropes, and turning while driving tanks backwards, now I'm on a tangent...I'll stop.
