Internet Socializing. What's the point?

Basically, what makes your "real life" socializing anymore real than your internet socializing?

The internet is at least a vent for someone. For me it's a place for showing my anger towards politics and religion, for what I would be mocked (and beaten probably) in my country. At least I get some approval and find people with same opinions.
But still, the Internet is one big retardfest. It has it's share of lulz. Nothing is serious here. So I expect that someone makes a joke out of my post here too.
It's all in all a much bigger thing if ya ask me, almost visionary, being able to state your opinion, your preferences, without any judgement or fear that you're be ridiculed coz of the color of your skin, looks or anything. No false morals and right or wrong. Everyone here are showing how they really are.

Honestly? I love talking to people. Whether it be IRL or on the web. I love to make friends, debate, learn things. I am currently learning A LOT from someone I met online.

Ive met a lot of people from the internet IRL, we occasionally all meet up and have drinks. It's great fun and they are great people IRL!
So if it wasn't for internet socializing i would've never meet these people. So i reckon there is a point, well at least for me.
