I don't really care about this thread, but not the threads on random are not completely for retarded shit. Most of it goes in IB. Just because a thread in random is serious doesn't mean it has to go to SD.

While I can understand what Ziggy is saying, I'll have to agree with the point Waar made; children are everywhere. The only way that your idea would work is to segregate the pedophiles from the "normal people", in camps and such. I'd also like to point out that many minors know exactly what they are doing, and that an adult shouldn't be at fault if they get involved with each other, but then we could have people having sex with 7 year olds, saying "Oh, she wanted it."

Now to the question at hand, no, I do not believe the two are connected. Lolicon is in most cases, as Ziggy pointed out, about the girl's innocence, with the delicious flat chest also playing a role.

You don't quite the whole picture. Yes, there are a lot of virgins out there who don't have sex, but most of them are under the age of eighteen. It's not like there there are a lot of 30-year-olds who have never had sex. You can't compare a 35-year-old man who has always been attracted to little girls but never had sex with one to a 20-year-old guy who has always been attracted to women but never had sex with one.

Also, being a pedophile may create a schism in the person's brain. He may think, "I am attracted to little kids. That's fucked up. I'm fucked up. I want to have sex with a little kid, but I think I never should because it's wrong." When a person has conflicting ideas like that, it can be very stressful (even more so because of the nature of the ideas), and the person's mind is more likely to snap. Like I said before, I am not defending child molesters, and I do believe, like waar said, that it's a battle of wills, and people should be strong enough to fight the urge, but it takes considerably less to break the will of a pedophile than a non-pedophile.

Of course, you have to think about the nature of rape and the nature of pedophilia. They say that all rape (and while I do agree that most is, I am unsure about 100%) is done because of power and not sexual gratification. What about when a pedophile molests a child? Power might be a part of why the pedophile does it, but I'm sure sexual gratification comes into it, too. It could be that part of the sexual gratification comes from the power, but that seems like too simple an answer. If it was all about power, then pedophiles wouldn't be aroused at just the sight of children.

Look at all the rapists in general? It's not hard to rape a girl, when you have a 5'7 - 6'2" guy who weights 180+ compared to a girl like me who is 5'0" - it wouldn't be hard to make it so I couldn't fight back.

Again, power and innocence goes hand in hand. Children are cute and pure, they can't fight back. I'm not nearly as cute and innocent as a child, therefore wouldn't be of interest to a pedophile.

It's only a measure of what you know. By recognizing your limits, you come to realize the potentiality of the answer you expect. Without expectations, there is no certainty. All becomes random. That is why something can be described as seriously random or randomly serious.

i guess the biggest difference between a lolicon and a pedophile is the willingness to act on those thoughts, i cant see a rapist or pedophile having strong moral fiber. i guess what im trying to say is that theres a big difference between knowing and doing, im sure we've all had that obscene thought one time or another but due to an ethical standard we've built throughout our lives we would never act upon it.

it seems like a lack of humility to do so really, but i guess all crimes have that similarity somewhat. i just cant conceptualize how an indecent thought can be so pliable as to have someone act upon them. is it really because of an untamed lust for innocence and juvenility? i wonder.

the only theory i can really make sense of is if an adult has went through a serious mental recession. they wouldnt have the capability of distinguishing wrong from right but due to their bodies development would still have a strong sexual urge to fulfill.
