Have you ever tried Psychotherapy or visited a Psychiatrist? It helped me a litle. I got an idea to try talking with new people step by step. At first only being able to be in the same room, then ask teacher for something and maby my classmates etc. Also i got some pills.
I've went to a psychiatrist before and I still have problems meeting with people. I have no problem talking to someone new and all but it's the anxiety that comes afterward when you're always the one to start the conversation after a while. People feel insecure about their standing, as if the 'friends' they just made either lost interest or wasn't interested in the first place. That discourages the idea of meeting new people because people will also feel that if it continues, people will start to notice and attempt to spread out rumors or give you weird looks. I've had this problem since 6th grade but it's gotten better after a few years. College still sucks through.
