Michael Jackson died, woah.

When I heard about this, many jokes about Michael "beat[ing] it" came into my head. Really, his death was "That was sudden" moment for me. No sadness.

He made good music, but I don't feel that there is any need to be inwardly sad for the dude unless you knew him personally.

Death always comes in threes. Ed McMahon, Farah Fawcett, Michael Jackson. Though the last one is the shock, because apparently the man was healthy.

Rest in peace MJ, thanks for the music, he will be missed.

Regardless of his fucked up personal life, the man knew how to entertain and he did that well. Music was his life, literally. From the Jackson 5 to his solo career. Fare thee well King of Pop.

Wow, I wake up from a nap and I get hit with this shit. I grew up on this guy's music, and to hear that he's gone is hard to swallow right now. I always felt that he was a misunderstood individual, much of his eccentric personality is the fault of how he was brought up. R.I.P Michael Jackson, and for future reference, just say no to child acting. You're next Brittney.

y'know MJ was pretty good looking before he turned himself into a circus freak. shame he had to go and do that, though. *shrug* he'll be missed..... I guess. ^^;

There is no point in coming here to question Michael Jackson's tastes or recent actions. Acknowledge his death, say your words and be done with it. Certainly not the place to do a psychoanalysis of the man.

Yeah I heard about it at work. Not really that moved by it though. My co worker was she was really sad he apparently was going to do a concert nearby and she wanted to go, she was really pissed.

Also this seems like it belongs in Random.

Of course, this generation of Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers were never hear such eargasm bliss.

Dude, this sucks. Say what you want about him, but the dude had a big impact on music and pop culture, and it's sad to see him go.

Really shocked to hear this, it's one thing that caught my attention right after I woke up.

Rest In Peace Michael...may the you got the place in heaven and your beloved ones stay strong.

This...tbh, I dunno he died. Damn, now I feel like listening to him again...

Any death is a tragedy for a family, and he certainly had a huge effect on music - seven number 1's from one album, he was a pioneer of modern music videos and an amazing dancer; he also had a terrible childhood, which is obviously what led to his mental state. I won't be mourning his passing, though. His mental and physical health has been poor for a long time, he's a long way from his prime and days producing good music; to be honest, with his condition and the media attention he's better off dead. This is not to mention the number of other people who died today, but without the recognition of what was essentially a dangerous and wealthy man.

Methinks someone should merge the three topics on the subject.
