He affected my childhood a lot by his songs... and his epic moonwalk, i'm kinda sad when i heard it on the news.

well mine has particularly more information. but then again Michael Jackson is the king of Pop, so maybe he deserves to have two threads about him. a full episode of Dr Phil was interrupted for news coverage on Michael's death.

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop (AND the king of dance), the first real icon who has died for us born in the late 80;s. I mean gents, this is a death of as much impact as Elvis Presly or Jimi Hendrix. And if you don't realize what M. Jackson did for the world, even without his music, you don't have a soul.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson. He will not be missed by me because his legendary and bad ass music was in another generation. His recent self is just sort of freaky and just old news, but this cannot take away how awesome his music is, how awesome his dancing is, and how awesome his musical career was. He was truly an astonishing individual.

It's sad that the man died. His music was really good and it's bad/sad that the fact that his legacy as a great artist is being overshadowed as being a pedophile/ child molester. Well actually mostly the young 'uns are the ones who see him as a pedo.

Michael Jackson... it's a sad day for music. Whatever people may think of him as a person, even if they weren't a fan of his, his brand of music has influenced the current generation of musicians and maybe the next. He's in the same musical league of Elvis, Lennon, and people who were musically immortal.

His body died, his controversies may live a little bit longer, his memory may be just another encyclopedia fodder, but his music and his influence will live on.

May he rest in peace.

It's a sad day because he brought us some decent ,music back in the day, but then in light of what was said to have been done on his part true or not was bad enough, for me to not like the guy, but still kinda sad, he will be missed by many as well as glad to be gone by many more.

radio stations here are holding all day marathons of his music to honor him

since Michael Jackson is made of 99% plastic, he will be melted down into legos so little boys can play with him for a change.

TMS gave me the idea, so I thought I'd post this vid here, it's a pretty cool tribute to the song "Smooth Criminal" that Micheal Jackson did but with a rock feel to it. I'll also post this in the other thread.

Yeah, Alien Ant Farm's song was like the one rare case where I thought a remake didn't totally screw up an original song. Both are pretty good in my book.
