Nickname background

So, I've been cruising around on the forum and noticed a lot of original/interesting nicknames of you people and I've been wondering; how did you come up with that specific nickname of yours? I've been searching for a similar thread like this but haven't found one - if you can remember a thread like this, please let me know so I can go check it out.

I'll start with my nickname then: LibelloMello.
Well, it was some years ago when me and my older sister's boyfriend were playing Xbox live and I noticed his nickname being Libel (not exactly sure if it was exactly Libel, but something of the like) and a few days later I wanted to create an account on another page. So I sat on my ass half an hour, trying to come up with a good name but nothing came to mind. The next day I was walking around town and saw a restaurant banner that said "Yello Mello" and I was like: "Yello Mello.... Libelle-o-Mello" and wham - there you have my nickname LibelloMello and all it's different forms.

I thought it'd be an interesting topic and interesting to find out about your particular nickname. Let's start the blabbering, shall we?

R(insert rest of my first name here; Roman)
B(insert rest of my last name here; Berenzon)
Z(most noticeable letter in my last name when said)

There's no way in hell I was going to use my regular nickname on a hentai-centered site in the year 2009. HR people have sadly learned how to use google and make cross-references.
So I simply picked the title of the song I was listening to at the time ("gibbous moon") and reduced it to one word, because JESUS WHO WANTS TO TYPE IN MORE THAN SEVEN LETTERS TO LOG IN?
Which, in retrospect was a pretty lucky pick, because the next track in the playlist would have been JUSTICE, and I'm not much one for "manly" nicks.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I just thought of two things and stuck them together.

I used Kaien cus he was a character got to me after his death, and yeah ichigo is doesnt have the same feel to it. And i like his shikai, and im thinking of creating a bankai for him as part of my sig

Years ago in a text bases MMO (Nukezone) I ended up in a clan witht he requirements to change your nickname to 'The ... Dragon'.
I took Digital because I spend most of my days behind the computer and pretty much in the digital world. (schoolwork did suffer because of this :s)
As I kept using the nickname It became clear that in other MMO games the name was pretty much in use by someone else so I asked a friend of mine what it would be like in Japanese.

Dejitaru: Digital (I'm still having my doubts about the correctness of this one)

I had just finished watch SHnY when I used the nick on another site years ago, it was going to be "TheMikuruSlave" but I wanted it to be hip and trendy, so I change it to "TehMikuruSlave".

Arbiter from Halo 2, i like that game series and storyline =o
But first when i heard his name i thought it was Arbitor so, well i started using Arbitor then, sounds somehow nicer than Arbiter anyways =p

I couldn't think of one so I asked my brother and he put random and the first thing he thought of together

I'm pretty sure your friend's correct about digital and this dictionary i just found seems to say the same thing

My dad is a carpenter, and he told me about these things called laths he put up when he cut the wood, and I just extended it.

Lang Ying is mandarin literally meaning "Wolf Shadow". I don't remember where, but I tried the username wolf shadow and it was taken, so I decided to translate it into Mandarin. Besides Wolrd of Dragons and Shouryu, the name kind of stuck with me and I even created a character based on the name.

It also displays my interest with Oriental culture, which came from my interest in martial arts

Ziggy is from Xenosaga. He isn't particularly my favorite character from the game, but I always liked the name being said. Especially when Momo said it.

Otaku is, well. That part is obvious. I thought the two sounded nice together.

Halatoma

I picked the name because it sounds Original I mean seriously how many people do you find with a cool name like mine :D

It's a song by the matches. The first time I used it, it was already taken, so I switched the i for a 1, and it grew on me.

lazyass= self explanatory

chillypepper= from GTA vice city. One of the pedestrians phrase when you block the street, he yells "get outta my way chillypepper". Made me lol so much the first time I heard it.

Well, when I was younger I happened to have ratty like teeth, with a big ol gap in the middle of them (they're fine now though, thanks to a few years of painful destistry). My name also happenes to be Matt so I just whacked the two together.

Penguin- I love penguins. Seriously, ask ziggy. I could bury someone in my collection.

of Doom- during the time I registered, my friends and I had something going where we would add "of doom" to everything.

Also I played magic and I loved this card.

all of the better ones i could think of were taken and i wasn't going to use my normal 1 because people might recognize me

Kuroneko came from one of the first gifs I made (which was a black cat). The 1/2 doesn't have meaning, I just like it. I wish I had a more original name, but oh well.
