Always fun feeling extra anxious while doing an 8 hour shift at work; kept worrying about whether my coworkers were talking about me behind my back even though I had no reason to think that, and I got paranoid that I put through a transaction incorrectly after I'd done it; the major cause being multiple gift cards totalling £135, and began worrying about whether I counted the money correctly (they paid with cash) even though I took my time when counting. And after my till was counted off at the end of my shift, the X-read had exactly £100 more than what she wrote down. Though I assume she just deducted £100 from the total amount because the tills always have a £100 float and I don't think I could fuck up that badly, but there's always that niggling voice at the back of my head that says otherwise.
Also, the two I worked with today have the habit of sitting out the back chatting for a majority of their shift leaving me on the shop floor alone for hours at a time. Today was no exception.

It hasn't happened today but it is a general gripe.
I work retail and one of the things I hate most is kids. They're the biggest reason why I have to keep tidying for most of my shift; or if it's too busy to tidy, why it looks like a bomb's gone off in the shop by the time it dies down enough to tidy.
But they pale in comparison to the screaming banshee types. From time to time parents come in with their darling little angels, who are howling with unlimited lung capacity, and buy them something which may or may not pacify their screeching yells of hell. Then there are the ones that become firmly attached to something and refuse to let go of it, so the parent(s) is/are forced to buy it. If it's pried from them for a moment so it can be scanned to pay for it, bye bye eardrums.
It's seriously made me question why we evolved to make such ungodly noises when we're young and further solidifies my stance on not wanting kids. Which makes the dating game a little bit more difficult since a lot of people around my age (26) have kids already.
Edit: I posted this yesterday on my day off, and both things happened multiple times while I was at work today. Sod's law right? But in addition to everything I listed, a toddler was forced to leave behind a teddy bear it grew attached to by its mum. Unsurprisingly, it immediately began an onslaught of unholy screeching. Could hear it for 20 minutes, no matter how far away they got. Feel for the parents, I really do.

We had our area manager down to do interviews for a new Assistant manager. Nice guy, but every time he spoke to me he bugged me about whether I sold any candles and got the right hump with me when I said I hadn't sold any. Did sell a couple in the end but not because I was actively asking like he probably expected. He didn't believe me when I said I had though.
Get a life mate.
Also I was feeling quite tired when I got home so I set my alarm to go off at a certain time and have a nap so I could get some rest in before the pub with my mates. Problem is I set it to AM instead of PM so I slept through until half 9. Woke up to 3 missed calls and 6 texts, including one that says "We are angry at you" which surprisingly hit me harder than I expected, because now I feel really depressed about it.
Get a life mate.

I was offered a Supervisor role at work by my manager, but our area manager chose someone else presumably because I didn't sell any candles the other week, the prick. Or not, it could be any reason really.
My manager's still going to train me up to be a keyholder anyway so I can at least help out when we're short staffed, so not all is lost.

Went foodshopping today and got stuck behind aisle-hoggers multiple times. Women with trollies having mother's meetings blocking the wide open space used for easier navigation between opposite aisles, a couple walking really slowly through the Fizzy drinks aisle, 3 kids (accompanied who I presume to be their mother) dancing and playing about in the Milk section so they made it difficult to walk past them, and multiple idiot shoppers leaving their trollies in the middle of aisles next to "correctly" parked trollies causing a roadblock.

Got into a disagreement with my coworker today and I asked could we just drop it, because just from his tone I knew the whole thing was going south already.

New Supervisor didn't turn up for work. Wouldn't be a problem if he wasn't the one opening the shop.
One of the managers received a rather angry phonecall from our area manager, so she had to go in early to open up. We opened half an hour late. The other manager had to go in on her day off, though only for an hour or so just to check paperwork. She called him, texted him, Facebooked him etc. but nothing; his phone was off and wasn't responding on Facebook. He finally got in contact with us about noon and claimed he was up at 4am vomiting his guts out and that he got in contact with them to let them know, though they didn't get anything. I've made my fair share of excuses in the past and "vomiting since early in the morning" was one of the copouts I've used to avoid doing things with friends, as well as the "I tried to message you on Facebook to let you know" lie, so I don't quite buy it. Because of this we could receive a fine which would come out of all our paycheques to cover.
On top of that, another coworker had the cheek to ask to leave early because "she was bored", "there was no point her being there" and tried to palm off her shift to me. She was only there for an hour and a half when she asked and in that time had her lunch, 2 fagbreaks and tried to look busy. Supposedly she's also been offered 30 hour contract at Maccy D's but turned it down, heard her talking about it to someone she knew and told them it was "too long". Bear in mind she claims to be strapped for cash all the time, so turning down a job that would pay decent money doesn't make sense.
On the bright side, I got to see my manager in casual clothes. Was a wonderful sight, even caught a glimpse down her top. Our work polos really aren't flattering.
I really need to get laid.

I must have the word "mug" written across my forehead since I've been led on 4 times this year. A girl I've had feelings for for years told me she felt the same again after a year or so of not talking. A day later I see constant Facebook updates of her and her ex taking pictures together, him saying he loves her etc.
Getting sick of this shit.

I've been pretty addicted to Subnautica. Now that I've explored most of the biomes, have a full kitted out Cyclops that effectively acts as a second home, have all the blueprint fragments, all but one of the decorations scanned and built a respectable sea base, I'm now noticing that resource nodes don't respawn and I've gone off it a little. I hope that changes. I don't want to run out of what should be common resources and I don't want to use cheats.
I've also just found out it's on sale right now. I paid full price for it just last week.
