Impulse-bought an expensive thing on Amazon but changed my mind and cancelled the order within half an hour of buying it. It apparently had started getting prepared minutes after I ordered it (at half midnight?) and even though they most likely wouldn't have prepared it that soon, I still feel bad.
Would've been a different story had I done it much later on, I guess.

Saw an article about the struggles of retail at Christmas and I've noticed a disturbing trend; when people in retail vent about their jobs, others chip in with jobs which are "worse" and try to speak them down as if their frustrations don't matter.
Why? It's not a competition. Nothing stopping you from venting your frustrations too.
It just speaks waves of the respect we actually get.

The fucker ignored my cancellation request (after 4 days of it hanging in limbo) and dispatched it. This and lending a friend some money means it's been an expensive month already. I did originally want it (and kinda still do) so I hope it at least turns up in good nick. If not I'll be having words.
Also, you know when you randomly remember something insignificant and feel bad about it? Happened to me just now while playing with the cat.
I charged my manager for a 5p bag when she bought things the other day. That's it.
We normally don't bother charging each other for bags as an "unofficial" perk of working there but I suddenly remembered it and felt bad.

In one of those moods where I don't feel good enough for anyone. Having fallen hard for a girl who has a boyfriend - yet again - isn't helping.
Though even in cases where they are single, no matter what I do to better myself I'm never people's first choice and that is really fucking getting me down.

After sleeping on it I think the sole reason I'm like this is because the situation is similar to a previous experience and I don't like it. Getting ignored for days on end while the girl tries to make sure the boyfriend doesn't find out she's even talking to me only for her to end up choosing her boyfriend over me on numerous occasions. I can't go through this again.
What's worse is over the past couple of months I've been there for her. Yet now when I need it she's claiming to leave her phone at home but goes online on Facebook every half-hour; the very thing she got pissy with her boyfriend for doing.

Found out that in order to link my NNID to my new Wii U after I returned the defective one, I need to call Nintendo and deal with customer service. They're nice folk, but...I'm just gonna return this. I can put this money to better use elsewhere than supporting a company that's making me jump through hoops to completely replace a defective console that was never used before I got it.
Maybe I'll just get Trails of Cold Steel instead.

The other day I clambered into the Store Window because someone wanted a £65 vintage record player/cd player/radio/bluetooth-enabled thingymajig. I got it out the box to show them what it was like then had real trouble getting it back in, so rather than give them the box and item seperately I gave them the one already packaged.
I come into work 4 days later to see the same item had been dumped out the back with the label "Faulty" on it. Obviously had been returned or exchanged for the one they wanted originally. Died a little inside, felt so bad. Of course I couldn't have known it was faulty but, still feel bad.

I injured my back carrying heavy loads over the christmas period which heals then comes back from time to time.
It flared up again on Wednesday evening when I bent down to pick something up while at work then flared up again while I was visiting a girl in her town and carrying her things. Was in so much agony she ended up having to carry them. She understood but I still felt so bad.
Worst part is? I keep sneezing. I'm a bit of a hard/loud sneezer with 2-3 sneezes a time, more if I'm stifling them, and the sudden jolt to my back doesn't help.

Was on the shop floor on my own for a majority of my shift. Coworkers spent most of their shift sitting out the back.
At some point during my shift activity suddenly increased. A customer asked me to get something out the window, and on my way there I got flagged down by another asking if we had something (we didn't). On my way back I got flagged down by another, and when I got back to the till someone else came to pick up a Click & Collect. Let my coworkers do that though since someone had to be on the shop floor. When I got back to the tills again I started serving people, and someone tried asking where something was while I was serving.
It all happened at once.

i went to the sprout's grocery store and that's the only place i trust for organic foods (trader joe's seems too cult-ish for me) and they hella marked up their items! it wouldn't be a problem if they marked it up slightly but the individual cans of dry fruit soda i usually get for a dollar and some change are now going for three dollars and it hurts my soul :c
