Those roaches bastards survived the Ice Age and meteorite crash in the end of Dinosaurs era, so of course they have strong resistance ( or nine lives? :? ). Still, i only kill them if they begin to annoys me.

I just find roaches annoying because they multiply quickly if you dont handle them quickly but the major problem in my house are ants they come every summer and dont leave until winter and its hard to make them stay away since they seem to find ways to get into the house

Its impossible to wipe out roaches, they are super ninjas from birth...
Why???
1stly) They appear from no where, like ninjas
2ndly) They hide in the shadows
3rdly) They have the "bunshin no jutsu", they multiply alot and exponentially
4thly) They are feared by most people
5thly) They carry stink bombs with them...
6thly) If you think that you have killed most of them, survivors will haunt you...
7thly) They are very very fast... If i am not wrong 8 km/h
8thly) They can fly too...
9thly) They can still live without their heads ( for several days )
10thly) If you think u killed a roach, there is at least 1 more lurking

I believe a stronger dose of insecticide should do the trick. Based on my own personal experience, some brands of insecticide tend to be more effective than others.
I have never liked cockroaches either, but as long as they do not enter my home, I shall not bother them. Nature will have a way of keeping them in check.

That's why I have my kill jar. I find one, put it in, and watch it die slowly. Then I pin it for bio class back then.
But yeah gross creatures. I should build a massive kill jar for it and dump a load of nail polish in it.

An update...
I have since killed 5 roaches since I created this thread. Bastards keep invading my house. I live in an apartment on the second floor so I'm guessing they are coming from the outside and don't actually have a base in my home.
One more of these bastards and I'm calling in the pros or at least the town council to complain. No idea whats causing them to come into my house, last time I saw a roach in my house was afew years back... They aren't small ones either they were all capable of flight so its definitely not a new batch of eggs that hatched.
Serves me right for not killing the bastards when I saw them outside.

Roaches ain't that hard to kill if you know how to step and angle your foot just right so when you twist your shoe you hear a crushing sound...
There was this one roach when I went to Miami, It was fucking crawling right there on the ground as soon as I woke up, I fucking grabbed my Swiss army knife and stabbed it right through the back into the carpet... the thing is it was still trying to move even though I stabbed right through the carpet and left the knife there...

If I lived in a place that had roaches I'd probably hate them.
The only bugs I actually HATE with a searing passion are flies. I fucking hate flies. When I was little, I used to catch them in clear plastic bags, rip their wings and legs off, and squish them a little later. Just in case they feel pain. Now I have this weird electric tennis racket thing to kill them.

For smaller bugs... I use spiders to solve the problem for me. For example, next to my desk I have a small lamp, with one hell of a spider web inside, standing on the ground - I just clean the area surrounding the lamp of dead bugs from time to time and leave it be. Thanks for the hard work.
But some months ago I was overrun by ants. Imported those bastards through earth and plants I used for my pet snake's terraria. First, they just started small inside the terrarium - and my little fosterlings couldn't care less about bugs running around - but some days afterwards I found them scouting and setting up roads outside. I located the queen - somewhere in the roots of a specific plant - and burned it the fuck down. I burned the whole plant, the roots, the earth - everything. And because I was curious if she'd actually pull a diehard on me, I put the burned earth back into the pot and put the whole thing back into the terrarium - few days later I had the fucking ant roads coming out of that thing again. I put the "hive" into the stove for an hour before throwing the damn thing into the trash. Ants ain't fucking with me no more.
But roaches... roaches sure are something. Gladly I never had them myself - but pesticide is definitely the wrong way to fight them - they're way too resistant. They require brute force tactics. Still, they'd probably end up outnumbering you, so you better make friends with them before it's too late.
