I burnt them, froze them, put them in a microwave, threw them in a lit candle, chopped them with a knife, squished them, drowned them, ripped of their wings/legs, sprayed corrosives on them, trapped them and let them dry up in the suns heat, spat on them, smashed them, ran over them (with my wheelie chair ^^), dropped weights on them, vacuumed them up, stabbed them, errm that's all I can remember for now...

It may or may not require a lot of maintenance, depending on that species original habitat, weaponry, and life span. I might be able to provide you with some information if your questions would become a little more accurate. While I have never kept a spider myself I have aided various people with theirs - and kept some temporarily under my care - including some species which I'd rather never see close up again. I have them in my house I don't mess with them,but when they come in my room walking around my wall scrolls they die.
