The Best Gundam and Pilot

best pilot to me would be either amuro or heero they real serious about what they are doing

best gundam would be...ummm.. hard one
seeing that all gundams have there own unique abilities.
i would go with freedom or or wing i dont like freedom but he has his cositas

The game is coming out this March so only another month to go.

For me the best Gundam is Gundam Wing Zero Custom. Nothing beats an angel Gundam.

As for pilot, I'd say Char Aznable. He owns.

as for the best gundam: Turn A or Double X...but I go for DX and its twin satellite cannon

as for pilots: Amuro Ray or Garrod Ran

Wing Zero for me since like heero pretty much most of the episodes in G Wing features the Zero trying to be destroyed and still it wont break(at least until in EW)

Turn A has the moonlight butterfly ability which basically spreads nano machines onto anything thus corrodes any substance it touches. That's why Turn A Gundam's setting is what it is then.

Well Turn A is weak without it. If you get rid of that ability then it just becomes another RX-78-2 Gundam, so I guess it really all depends how fast you can kill it.

hmm, wont it make 00 Gundam + 0 riser + transam immune to it? since it can disperse itself into particles.

good point but remember that Trans-Am has a time limit to it so i guess if Turn A can stay afloat until trans-am is used up then its his win so it not the capabilities of the mech thats in question now but the capabilities of the pilot

Ill go with Kira and the Strike. Kira is obviosly the best when it comes to piloting, he has natural skill and the knowledge of the technical aspects of his machines. This is obvious from episode 2 of SEED where he destroy's a bunch of ZAFT MS's with no training what so ever. The Freedom and Strike Freedom are superior machines, but i prefer the strike for its simplicity and adaptability.

Quickly for you.

Basically there is UC and everything else.

UC stands for Universal Century. There there is AC from Turn A Gundam which means Another Century (Suppose to be the ending to all Gundam series) There is another AC which stands for After Colony from Gundam wing. There is also CE for Cosmic Era that are for Seed and it's sequels.

Now the hardcore Gundam fans (Like myself) feel that Only UC and AC from Turn A are worth thinking about when you wanna set yourself in a timeline. Everything else are stand alone shows with the Gundam Name on it. However due to some scenes in Turn A we were lead to believe that every gundam series is set in the "same" timeline just widely stretched in time. (If you don't know what I'm talking about go watch TURN A now!!)

Now for the best gundam Pilot.
I'd really have to go with either Char or Amuro. Kira comes really close in second place. It's all due to their Newtypes powers. Even if Kira is a coordinator with awesome reflexes and physical abilites you just can't mess with the abilites of Newtypes.

Best Gundam (ZOMG if only you hadn't specified gundams).

I noticed this brought up a lot, how kira isnt as good as amuro b/c of the Newtype abilities. However, if you notice in the series, when Kira enters SEED mode, it is basically the same as having newtype abilities, and is not a byproduct of his coordinator gene modifications, since Cagalli also has the ability to enter SEED mode, and she is a natural, with no genetic enhancements.

You might have forgotten but I'll clarify what a Newtype is. Throughout UC when they talk about Newtypes (as well as in AFTER WAR GUNDAM X) they do not only talk about their incredible and usually innate abilites to pilot Gundams or anything controlled and robotised in Space. They are also have a mysterious power to connect psychologically or spiritually whatever you want to call it with other people.

They have to ability to show, express their feelings without having to be in front of the people they need to be with. Some also have the ability to see what's coming before their opponents have even acted. This kind of ability clearly is superior in any kind of battle ability or SEED mode Kira or Athran can do.

00 Gundam comes closer to Newtypes abilities with the whole Quantum waves soldiers as well as 00-Raiser ability to convey Saji's and Setsuna's feelings.

What connection are you talking about? Those are all speculations. They were never once given an explanation. At best it was fanservice. Lol I'm really hoping you didn't mean Flay's and Stella's dying scenes.
