Ultimate mech I would have to say the "Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann" form of Gurren-Lagan.

It couldn't move! Thats like giving a 5 yr old a shoulder RPG, a .50 caliber riffle, strap him down with belts of ammo then toss on a combat knife for good measure. Sure you could totally destroy someone but, no good if you can't move

As much as I like Gundam, they are by no means the strongest mecha out there. Took me long enough to realize this. Jehuty and Anubis from Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner could kill any Gundam in a few seconds flat. Even Turn A Gundam wouldn't be able to activate the Moonlight Butterfly before getting sliced in half. Another S-class RR-type mecha goes to Astranagant and Dis Astranagant from the Super Robot Wars series. Infinity Cylinder and Ain Soph Aur literally erases the enemy out of existence.

Of course, Super Robots are by far the strongest mecha out there. Off the top of my head, I know that obviously Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann qualifies as the strongest mecha out there and I believe this also applies to Shin Getter Robo, and maybe Valzacard from Super Robot Wars and Ideon, though that is debatable. Usually, S-class Super Robots can destroy the universe and have some way to continue growing in strength.

If you make it strongest Gundam, then it's absolutely Turn A Gundam because Moonlight Butterfly destroys anything technological with nanomachines, not to mention said nanomachines allow the Turn A Gundam to repair itself.

Should you make it best Gundams, then that allows the V2 Assault Buster in for its insane speed of a little less than 20Gs while being loaded with an I-Field, Anti-Beam Coating, a Mega Beam Cannon, a Mega Beam Shield, a Mega Beam Rifle, a Beam Spray Pod, and waist-mounted VSBRs, not to mention its almighty 1 km long Wings of Light. Most of the mentioned weaponry have power equivalent to Wing Zero's Twin Buster Rifle. God Gundam can squeeze here, mainly because its really a Super Robot with Real Robot speed and maneuverability. Gundam Double X wins for having the strongest beam cannon, which would its Twin Satellite Cannon that legitimately obliterates colonies entirely. Combine that with the fact that a NewType Pilot can control G-Bits, each one loaded with a Satellite Cannon...yeah... You get my point here.

On the other hand, strongest Mobile Suit used to go to Turn X, since it was a Mobile Suit version of Turn A, but better in some areas. Now, it goes to the Centurio series of Mobile Suits, with Tria and Interpol being the strongest. Each one is made up of nanomachines and ranked by how many 'wings' are on their back, with more wings meaning a stronger Mobile Suit. In order to attack, one 'wing' dissolves and is reformed into the Launcher Geminass, which fires both beams and railgun slugs and probably can outspam Freedom Gundam, or the Nanite Sword, which there is no defense for, really. For its actual defense, it can self-regenerate, just like Turn A, Turn X, and Devil Gundam, and has a field called Field Inperium. For its ultimate attack, they can all perform Relum Dominatus, better known as the Moonlight Butterfly Funnels, which is essentially Moonlight Butterfly spread via funnels. Also, Interpol, and most likely Tria, can perform Nanite Luminarium, where the Moonlight Butterfly Funnels spread over a wide field for a devastating attack. Trust me, I'm aware of how devastating their power is because one of the final stages in SD Gundam G Generation DS is facing an army of Centurios and Interpol at the end. Luckily, it ends when you defeat Interpol, though it's not easy. Expect many casualties.

The best mecha would use Cheat-tech and by that I mean implementing pocket dimension tech, it wouldn't be very big, maybe the size of a suit of powered armor, so the pilot can get in. You take battleship grade weapons and you cram them into this pocket dimension (it's a very deep pocket), as well as everything else you might need, then you put the pilot in this extra-dimensional space, and you fold a second pocket dimension around the hull of this monster. Voila you now have an invincible, unstoppable, killing machine.

Sounds like Jehuty. It keeps all its weapons in Vector Traps, which compresses mech sized weapons and makes it seem like they vanish and reappear on a whim. That's one small reason its an S class mecha.

Huh...in my design the thing only had ports in the palms of it's hands, shoulders, a pair on the head, and wherever else I decided I wanted to fire projectiles, or create melee weapons, the weapons would stay in the pocket dimension, a portal would open up at the desired location and the projectile would enter real space, but oh well. That design still wins, because it is only a little bigger than the pilot since he still has to get in it.

My fav. mecha is eva.
Why ? Because it's the only mecha that can eat something !!!

Again, a lot like Jehuty, except Jehuty needs no ports. It just uncompresses projectiles in real space and uses them and has few mounted weapons, which means its a lot lighter than more complex designs. It only has a Spiegel mounted on its right arm and a shield on the left. It also can fire shots from its palms and its Wisps when it becomes Jehuty Ver 2, which range from a powerful Burst Shot or the Homing Lasers, which can strike many enemies simultaneously. The only weapon that needs time is the Vector Cannon, simply because it is very, very powerful. With that aside, it's light and ridiculously fast, while having a massive arsenal.

Still, your design seems more like a power suit, like Iron Man or the ones they use in Bubblegum Crisis. I applaud you for thinking up of a good power suit design.

Well that's exactly it, it seems like a powered armor, except when you get in it and turn it on you are transported to the cockpit in the pocket dimension, in all actuality this thing is bigger than most space stations once you pull everything out of the pocket dimension, although I'm still debating on the need for a cockpit because frankly speaking you can react faster when you aren't translating your movements into the real world via controls. The only reason this thing isn't smaller than it is, is because they person still needs to get into it, were we to run this mobile doll style it would be the size of a dime, simply using real-world dimensional generators to create an opening to fire from. only problem is that mobile dolls have horrible judgment and prone to malfunctioning, as are most AI.
Iron man wishes his suit was this badassed, the suit is also more closely related to the Moldiver unit.
