Shaman King is totally awesome.
Then again...Ryu knight and Hunter X Hunter were some very marking shows in my youth...back when I was such a noob...watching anime on winamp streams. xD

Rurouni Kenshin. It was what started me on anime/manga so it is diffenently on the top of the list, FMA and Bleach make good seconds.

My favorite was "Pretty Face". It was short, but very interesting and hilarious. If you mean currently running, then probably "Naruto" or "Bakuman", though I don't read much of either.

Rurouni Kenshin. Should definitely be on this list. Far superior to garbage like Naruto not to mention predates. I am disappoint Fakku I am disappoint.

God. This poll. Also these comments. For me I had to vote FMA from the options, but Negima! is a damn close second. I'd put One Piece in third, and then DB/Z/GT. I just haven't had enough exposure to Gintama to form an opinion, and while I was (and still am) a fan of Naruto, I gave up on the manga about a year ago, give or take. It just. . . Inuyasha syndrome, that's all I can say. But looking at these comments. . . I'm reminded of just how many Damn Good! and better series I've seen from this genre throughout the years - Bleach was fun but started to really suffer from arc fatigue until I gave up; Yu Yu Hakusho was good until I just couldn't keep up with it's release and missed important parts of Dark Tournament (though Sensui on the tail of that Did Not Help); Fairy Tale is one of the best I see these days; though Ao No Exorcist is right up there; Soul Eater is a beauty - though the current (it looks like it might be a finale) story is just. . . confusing; HunterXHunter is charming but during months of no update I lost hope and haven't been able to come back yet; and Rurouni Kenshin . . . god. I loved that series. Still do. I think it Is my favourite, but of these. . . Full Metal Alchemist has everything a good series needs, philosophy, developed heroes and villains, and action :). While RuroKen may be better to me, FMA had more for me to enjoy, and I'll always be grateful to Nobuhiro Watsuki and Hiromu Arakawa both - though when Negima! finally ended earlier this year it felt just like reading chapter 108 of FMA whatever that tells you. I love this genre. It's what pulled me into Anime and Manga in the first place (via the classic Speed Racer cartoons) and it has given me some of the most amazing stories I have ever seen. I don't know who I'd be without it.

I voted other because my favorite Shounen isn't on the list. History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi is just too godlike ATM. It's one of those series that lead me to the manga and now I can't stop reading it.

Bakuman FTW!!!
All the intensity of a Battle manga with no combat. The writer is a genius. Add to that great love stories, cool characters and good art and you have something that cant be beat.
After that is Kenichi than Hajimete no Aku. Also, all time I have to add Change 123, Gokusen, and Mx0. I'm more into the non-mainstream stuff so that reflects my tastes a bit. If I had to pick from the list, probly DBZ but only if it had to be off the list. I also fallow a shojo or 2. You kno, that fluffy feel good stuff made for girls. Stuff like Kaicho wa Maid Sama, which really walks the line between shojo and shonen, but its technically shojo. Some of that stuff's pretty well written.
