On topic though as this thread needs at least some direction, I find them quite funny like a good troll. When they find that balance between going to far and not going enough they can create quite a funny thread.
I mean if they didn't exist all we would have to entertain ourselves would be trolls and lets face it most trolls are just a waste of time.

What I described does seem like rather normal behavior, doesn't it? That wasn't what I intended to express, but to work with it.. that's pretty much exactly what white knights are doing (acting normally.. or what should be normal). They're simply displaying common courtesy and attempting to do something nice/respectable in return for something. That something can be but is not always sexual.
I always looked at white knights as people who are berated for doing the right/moralistic thing. Not sure if that makes me a white knight myself, the fact that I'm partly in support of their behavior (naivety aside), but yeah...
(My response is pretty sloppy, but I suppose it'll work).

Ok kidding aside I will now respond because you responded to me (oh fuck, infinite spiral of madness here we come).
I see White Knights defining people who will stick up for someone just because someone else said something "offensive" to them even if that comment was warranted or not really offensive. In addition to that they have to be making comments that are lacking in intelligence and overly zealous.
If those conditions didn't exist I'd have to label myself as a white knight simply for the number of times I've defended people I thought were being insulted unreasonably (either because they didn't really deserve the insults or because the insulter was going a bit too far for what was warranted). This doesn't even count the times I've "defended" people just because I felt like messing with someone I'd seen "attacking" people too frequently. I don't think those occasions count as white knight behavior because I didn't actually care about the people being "defended" at all. (Keep in mind that many of those occasions were done primarily for the purpose of entertaining myself, the person I was "fighting", and the assortment of popcorn eaters we have here.)

Reminds me of this one female (whose name I don't recall) and this one male (whose name I do recall but won't say). The two users were part of Fakku, the male insulted the female and for some time there was a load of fighting on the forums (not just in one thread). The female quit Fakku, though later appeared on chatroll (even if for a brief moment), and there was a bit of flaming for days to follow, just a bit.
Anyway, the reason I brought up that case was because the white knight term was being thrown around quite often during the incident. Personally, I think it was used wrongly in some cases (if not all), because the "white knights" were only trying to stand up for a girl who felt hated, not trying to get into her pants. It was a clear example of the term being used based on one's belief.
And that reminds me of another thread, "What is a troll?". Just like with trolling, white knighting doesn't seem to have a clear definition at all times.
Anywho I rambled on, had a point to this post, but feel like it was lost. As a result, I'll leave it at that. This vicious circle (similar to the "no job, no work experience.. no work experience, no job" circle) can stop now.

That depends... It's not about being entertaining since it's more of a question of morality. Yes it's good to stand up for people abused or ganged on BUT if someone stands up just because of a female in the net... especially in a hentai site... kinda silly.
For me there are three reasons why someone would be a white knight. One their intention is to actually shove a spear into someone's butt because that someone is really a big asshole. Second is that the one they're defending is their friend and that's normal. Third is the negative one where some pansy defends another pansy because the second pansy claimed to be a cute girl in the net! Boys or Girls the fact they're here on fakku means they're no longer children and they can already defend themselves.
