Or how about this: given the these two choices, which is better? In what way does being a lolicon factor into this decision making?
For those of us that it's a problem for, it really grates against our grain to say that anyone who looks underage is attractive, except for two situations (in my case at least): 1) if they're really down (like crying), it's ok to list pretty among their positive qualities; 2) Statements of future attractiveness are generally ok ("That's gonna be trouble"), the general sentiment being that you're not attracted currently, but you can see how they're going to grow into an attractive person.
That said, I've met short chicks that just don't really show their age until they're in their 70s or so. I'm perfectly capable of finding them attractive. There's a scanned manga somewhere on the site that has a story where the woman is 28 but ridiculously tiny, yet the art demonstrates that this is a woman by drawing the face appropriately and the story touches on the height issue a couple times I think. I really like that story. But if they drew her the way a lot of artists seem to, 8 or nine with a rack, it's just not gonna work on me, I'm gonna think it's an 8 or 9 y.o.
I'll also say that I haven't really ready anything in the comments (granted I don't read every one) that leads me to believe it's not the personalities of these characters that's mostly what's being found attractive. Granted, there were some comments about pink hair, but anything more elaborate seem to be more about the character than the drawing.
I really don't think anyone here has a lolita complex, so much as they don't want someone who's complicated(read actually damaged, not the romantic sitcom damaged cause that they want) and who doesn't play mind games (on the premise that you'll lie so they have to trick you into revealing things. Yes, I had a female friend tell me this was the reason. I feel so bad for the guys she dated.) .
