I prefer Taiga. I love that very short part in the beginning of the introtheme of the episode where she pulls up her... what's it called in english because it's not my native language :S ...stockings ?

For me, I vote for Louise. I don't know why, but when I was watching every anime, only when I watch Zero no Tsukaima and saw Louise, I had this strange feeling inside me. I never had this feeling for any other anime character. Maybe it was love at first sight...

I go with "Taiga" cause she is girl in love with confuse in her heart.
Louise and Taiga personality and appearance have many similarity but Taiga has show that she's not only cuteness of young girl but has a charm of grow up female as well. Other thing is pretty much the same, with
- their sister like character ,make it hard to suppress your brother insting (almost imposible)
- those clumsy,even leave they alone they be fine but it make your feel like with a little help they will feel better (finally can't leave them alone)
- devil in Loli body - cute but have little evil way to settle thing some time.(evil without guilt)

I wanted to vote for Taiga since she's new but after thinking about it Louise is the one that attracts more.
Going by the light novels, Taiga actually has a better body, she has all the womanly curves and a normal bust but her breasts are so soft they get pressed to her body under the pressure of simple things like bras and swimsuits.( body ftw here)
Louise just hasn't developed yet leaving her a childish body, but following the story through Saito you often get teased into wanting it,seeing panties here, legs there, and revealing costume occasionally. Lots of tease to make you want it, but truthfully there's not alot there.
Personality wise,identical as we know but the reason stemming behind them is what makes them more or less for me.
Louise lives in a world where that type of treatment is taught and expected of her as seen from the way her Oldest sister also resorts to the same method of punishment for offense, and Nobles in general are whiny and snooty though she softens up slowly after the Foquet incident. I'm pretty sure if she were in a high school setting she'd just be dere all the time. The most attractive thing about her though is that she is aware of her desires. Her thoughts are borderline ero with thoughts like " I want him to push me down again" and "I wonder why [such and such] feels good." Combine that with her want of simple togetherness, and the actions she takes 'ten hickeys from the chest to neck lol' and she wins personality wise.
Taiga, though understandably angry at the way things turn out for her, chooses to resort to that type of expression when dealing with people, which of course is necessary sometimes but not as much as used. Her best points in personality are her dere side ( clumsiness, being sweet, worried, the whole sha bang bang here) and her naturally humorous side.
In any case it was a losing battle for Taiga as translations for the novels are going at a normal speed (slow), the manga at the same and the anime is only just beginning so there's not alot of depth we can gather yet.
But she's doing well for being so disadvantaged, we should be able to expect good things in the future.
