What if you found a cute girl/guy that had a romantic feeling for you, but at the cost of having your blood sucked every maybe week or month, would you still do her?

(PLEASE DO NOT THINK OF THIS AS TWILIGHT, think of it more like Tsukihime or Karin)

When I really think about it, the idea sounds good at first, but problematic in the long run. What if you're together for years? The idea of giving up part of your blood over and over doesn't sound too healthy for your body. Not to mention, everytime you have to get bit, and even if you are used it by now it probably leaves some unsightly marks on your body. She could bite the same place over and over again, but dear god after a while that will just look like raw meat. Also, having a vampire girlfriend can be very dangerous. There are some people just waiting with a torch and a pitch fork, ready to form a slightly irrate mob the second they find out someone actually is a vampire. Or a frankenstein monster, they hate those, too.

How are you going to introduce her to your parents? Are they cool with the vampire thing? You aren't going to be able to hide it, unless you can convince them that they can only ever see your new girl at night. Preferrably not your home because you just know that she is prone to leave weird vampire paraphenalia lying around. Also, the second you even think about dating a vampire, someone related to van Helsing will move in to your vicinity. Could be next door, could be a couple of blocks away, but they will be there and they shall watch your every move. It's a hassle.

You over complicate things if you really love her it shouldn't be a problem at all unles it's something religious and your parents is crazy about it....you can just tell her to suck it somewhere else insted of the same place over and over again. IF Van Helsing did come to the neighbourhood or something like dat we'll just move into the dormitory of Rosario + Vampire >=]

I think dating a vampire is overly complicated, and the cutesy idea that love is enough to make everything alright is naïve. It's easy to look at this problem from the perspective of a certain manga like Karin or Rosario + Vampire, where everything always works out in the end, but would it really?

To answer your question, yes I would, but only if she sucks me in another place after wards.

i see you guys place this is an inevitable scenario, such as the huge possibility of vampires or even half breeds being persecuted, still that said maybe there could be at least ONE person who would help you out, or even try to hide the truth

and besides some people would prefer to have it naive rather than have the terrible truth, in some ways it's kinda like with racism or religious views (in a relative sense)

Depends on the type of vampire and how much blood she'd take from me. (Blood conserves, hello?)

Possibly. Depends on the personality of the vampire. And tsuyoshiro, while you make some good points, i think one of the problems you mentioned could be solved.



Well, if you can get blood from another source this problem could be lessened. For example, maybe you could trap small animals like squirrels and let he/or she feed on it instead. Or maybe you could possibly get blood from the butcher possibly get it. Not trying to say your wrong, just saying there are some possible ways to get over that problem. Also, how much the bite mark is effected depends on what kind of fangs we're talking about. If there the ones which have mouths lined with razor sharp teeth, then that could become a problem quickly. But if there the ones with just two fangs, then this wouldn't become a issue too quickly.

But as for peoples reaction, that's something you couldn't really change. For those van helsing types, how problematic they are depends on how just power they have. if there the ones with magic or superpowers, then yes that could be a major problem. However, if they are just normal humans who don't like vampires, then you may stand a fighting chance.

While that may be a viable solution to the blood problem, I should restate what the topic creator asked:

The scenario doesn't really allow for alternate methods of blood suckage, although it would certainly help if there were a couple of blood bags stashed in the fridge for snack occasions. I'm with you on that...but the idea of trapping squirrels for blood seems a bit silly. Funny, but silly.

Well it's different with vampires because oddly enough just having your blood sucked is enough to get you off since your getting an intense pleasure as it's happening and I've also heard that it's way better than sex lol. For example if a vampire is sucking the blood out of some girl, she'll get so horny and love it so much that she won't want the vampire to stop. I don't know what it would be like for a guy, but I'm assuming the same thing applies excluding some minor details. Anyways I guess I'd rather just stay away from vampires and stick to humans because dealing with vampires is nasty business.
