My question to everybody who is pro-choice.
Why should a life that hasn't even made an physical impact on the world be taken away?
Because it is valueless. As you said, it has not even made a physical impact on the world.
I don't subscribe to Sannyasa Ahimsa. I swat flies when they annoy me, because it's convenient. I advocate killing feti, when it's convenient.
The only argument that is valid for abortion is the life of the mother being at stake. All others are for sheer sake of "convenience".
Or, the greater good. But, to be frank, convenience is good enough, really.
Reason1:"Wanted to postpone childbearing."
Should have used a condom and/or the pill.
Perhaps they did? A condom's PI is only 0.9! The only safe way to avoid pregnancy is celibacy.
But all that is entirely beside the point: "Shoulda - coulda - woulda" never works out in reality. You gotta work with what you got. The fact in the case at hand is that there's an unwanted being in the woman's body, and she doesn't want to suffer through 9 months of pregnancy and the pain of birth. Valid enough reason for abortion to me.
Edit: Oh, since you absolved me from thinking on your point of view in your edit I'll elide the rest of the post and skip ahead to POST REPLY.
