Another thing I disagree with is the fact is why doesn`t the U.S. have a National Health System, it stupid. People get sick and people get hurt who`s to say that they don`t deserve treatment for any wounds, injuries, and especially terminal sickness... it dont make the least bit of sense why people shouldn`t all deserve a national health care system.
I know it's asking a lot to read all the posts made in this thread, but arguing this point over and over again is quite annoying, but here it goes anyway... (again):
There are many reasons NOT to have a free national health care system. Seeing as how we're in an economical downfall, the REAL stupid move would be to implement the health care system. Our government would have to tax us more, meaning people will spend less in the economy which leads to slow circulation in currency. NOT what we need in our current state of economy (if ever).
Additionally, free health care forces everyone to wait. Looking at Canada for reference, we see many cases where people have to wait for their medical treatment. From those spawn stories of conditions worsening or people dying because they weren't able to get treated in time.
Another reason I don't support universal health care is because doctors can only charge a fixed amount which doesn't include the malpractice insurance... Also, because it's run by the government, it's a given that the average paycheck of a doctor will deteriorate. The profession's popularity will decrease since becoming a doctor is a pain in the ass meaning less doctors meaning more wait time meaning more deaths. We can also question the quality of the health care profession since the incentive to be the best is taken away because all doctors are paid the same wage.
If you actually study it, you find that this system sucks balls.
