rather than anime dying on tv
I would say that the Television as a whole is dying slowly thanks to the wave of the
"INTERNET" (dum-DUM-DumMmmmm~~)
If you think about it, How much effort would it be to braodcast a series over televison compared to the internet. This can possibly be changed if people truly protected their copyrights but this would cost money and i dont know how copyrights work internationally.
You make a good point.
A lot of TV is being made available both on TV and the internet. I suppose companies are realizing that a lot of people forgo the TV altogether and just use the internet to get what they want.
Hulu is perhaps the best example of this. It offers free (presently, but who knows what will happen in the future) TV shows on your computer, when you want them. Also, some TV stations have their shows available for free on their sites. And of course, a ton of shit can be bought on iTunes, including TV shows.
It really does seem that TV is becoming less popular.
