Under the condition that the fetus cannot be aborted after s certain length of time into the pregnancy.
Technically, the fetus, well, actually, it's not considered a fetus until later, but let's just say "baby". The baby's thought processes and nervous systems aren't even developed in early pregnancy. How we define "life" and "being alive" is being able to react to stimuli and sustain its own life in some way. A baby below about 5 or so months does not react to stimuli in the way we define "humans" as doing, nor can they live outside the mother's womb. Therefore, I believe an abortion is acceptable before the baby develops the systems necessary to react to stimuli and be considered "alive."
rx7b9er God...shit...fuck! DX Yes. I never said take the option away I was just stating why I didnt like the idea but shouldnt be taken away cause of things I said or stuff like that....awww...dammit. This thread sucks now. TTATT. I is upset. upsetface.jpg
i believe that a person has the right to do whatever they wish to with their own body and as such we should not be able to impede on this personal freedom. Therefore from that i believe that as a matter of rights it should be prochoice as a matter of precedent. Any idea of prolife is purely based on ethical and moral standards rather than what should be a rights issue and should be seen as such from that point of view and not be clouded by the dogma of religion
I hate how people say prolife in the context that if you dont agree with it, your prodeath, as in ALL people in all walks of life at all times dont deserve to live. Everyone is prolife, its for or against abortion they are arguing, they should just say that. Generally though I agree with the idea that as long as the fetus doesnt have brain function yet its still understandable to terminate. Again, its all situational, im sure I wuld feel different if it was MY child she wanted to abort, but I have to come at this from the subbjective third party stand point.
Its always a morally difficult choice to make, especially for those closest to the situation, and ill never undertstand what its like to be pregnant and have to make that decision (read: male), but I have to take it from a scientific standpoint based off my previous beliefs and say im 'prochoice'.
