in the end we're all given the chance to make a personal choice, if he chooses to follow his religion at whatever cost what kind of person would you be to look down upon him?
The choice to follow a reliion no matter what cost means that he has claimed or been enforced a "truth" for himself from the collective. It is very hard to communicate with someone who know he is right, looking down on him or not.
Also, it is my personal belief that man has very little to do with truth, meaning of life and, if they exist; gods. Which means that in my "truth" and my reality, anyone dealing with these subjects as truths are liars. However, I try not to look down on them so much, as I am also human and unsure whatever a truth about no truths are any different then their religions.
Just don't say you know the meaning of life and you'll be fine in my eyes. :P
And most morals are just something you commonly pick up from society, just as society created religion. Religion is but a reflection.
